And by characters I mean heroine and by earnest I mean spout-out-the-first-thing-that-come-to-your-mind-without-weighing-the-consequences. Sheesh! This girl... not only is her head too big for her body (the art comes with some proportions issues hehe) but her tomfoolery around this destined butler-type of hers is insane! It is literally too mortifying to read on sometimes!

And the story...! It seems to be stupid at first, but then it starts to settle into a somewhat conventional shoujo setting, and then BAM there's in-your-face-smut which was honestly, not too appealing to look at (her big headedness aside).

Characters are not completely likable which would be OK if their actions and the direction of the plot made sense... but it Just.Never.Does! Sometime the smirks of certain secondary characters makes you think there's an actual premise developing, but NOPE, it's just tired old shoujo tropes in the making! The smut feels alternatively silly and slightly humorous or obnoxiously out of place. I'll give the heroine props for her determination and maturity in certain situations which shoujo leads don't generally exhibit such as professionalism... but these shining moments are few and far in between and the HOT bishie art isn't enough of a saving grace to invest time in this volume. And then of course there's the fact that it hasn't been updated in almost 5 years, while the second chapter ends on a type of cliffhanger... I think it's pretty much a no brainer that this title will leave you feeling unsatisfied.
