As previously mentioned, the artwork is an uncanny copy of Ai Yazawa's style. This definitely doesn't add any originality to the manga whatsoever.

The plot-twist is easily figured out, but as far as I can remember, I haven't come upon a twist like it. The whole story is a bit morally disturbing, especially

the attempted rape - and Emi's sister (or whoever she is) sleeping with Kazumi
that was forgiven with a shy smile? What the heck? The whole romance seems a bit awkward when you keep the prior events in mind too.
The smut seems out of place sometimes, but that's probably also part of the Ai Yazawa-copying.

Oh, and just a side comment to one of the smut-scenes. Are breasts the size of her freaking head considered....SMALL? Uh. Okay.

Well, copycat, silly female lead and a bit of awkwardness set aside, I read through this while feeling fairly entertained. Would have dropped it if it was any longer, though.

i liked this manga and i really liked the art. but this manga could have been longer and more in depth. making it short made it more like a light read even though there was drama in it. only thing i didn't like was that she gets over kei's death pretty fast for someone who was in love with him but since it was a short manga i guess everything had to move along fast. but coming to what i've read others saying about kazumi sleeping with her sister. that was not her sister. in the manga it is mentioned a few times that she is the only daughter so i'm pretty sure they are not siblings. and as for why he slept with her was because he was upset believing what momo said about kou being emi's boyfriend was true. he thought that she was just fooling around as he mentions it indirectly himself. even though i don't agree to him sleeping with her i'm just saying because as i read other comments i got the wrong impression. but to sum it up i liked the manga

It was clear the whole time that it was him. I would've liked some more mystery as to who it was. It was kind of weird how she was so in love with Kei when all they did was text message. If it had addressed the fact that they couldn't call each other for some reason or just said after she found out Kei was dead something like "This is why we couldn't talk on the phone... he said it wasn't included in his plan..." then it would've been ok. But I have a hard time buying the fact that she's so in love with him, they have such a great relationship, and she really believes he's coming back to see her but she doesn't want to speak on the phone? Also I couldn't find out when this was created but in this day and age there are webcams and all that stuff.

I'm in a long distance relationship so I really can't imagine being content with just text messages.

Also like Vera said it was really weird that it was all ok that Kazumi slept with Emi's sister. I don't really see that happening. The sister even makes a joke about it.. If my sister slept with the man I turned out to be in love with I would have some hesitations about it. She didn't do it maliciously though and just wanted Kazumi but still it's awkward.

I think that this manga was good in theory but lacking in execution. It probably should have been longer. Maybe with Kazumi moving into town and getting to know her more while still pretending to be Kei by text message and she has feelings that he knows more than he should.. more suspenseful I guess I mean.

I think the last part how he moved there was nice but the whole "he hates it we'll get an apartment on the mainland together" + "no honey I want to stay with and make nice with your family" thing is overdone.
I guess the manga-ka wanted to give us a definite conclusion but I think it fell flat.

I've not finished this yet but its a very average manga, what I really want to comment on is how creepy the style of art is its almost an exact immitation of old Ai Yazawa work, a blend of Parakiss and Gokinjo, although its pleasing to the eye it shows the artist is not confident with their own skills and therefore has immitated another more radical style (in comparison to most other shoujo mangas) in the hope to gain similar recognition perhaps? Anyway its an ok manga but the immitation art will win the manga-ka no favours.

This series is cute. The girl is a little weak and clingy but the series is short enough that it doesn't get annoying. Basically you have Emi, who is in love with her kind text-messaging friend Kei, and the sorta-delinquent Kazumi, who has a big secret about Kei. They end up sorta living together for most of the series because her family owns some kind of inn or lodging.

The one part that weirds me out is that Kei often looks like she's 12, the only difference being that she has a chest, but Kazumi easily looks like he's in late high school or older.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
There's not a love triangle.

Also, it's weird that neither Emi nor Kazumi particularly care that...
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Emi's sister seduced and slept with Kazumi. The sister even tells Emi. No one thinks it's a problem for more than half a second. I'm glad they didn't spend a chapter angsting about it but that was pretty disturbing, seeing as Kazumi calls Emi his girlfriend right after he sleeps with her sister.
