Legitimately Good

I have to admit, when I first started Aura, I was only doing so to kill time. It seemed a generic slapstick comedy about aliens with nothing special to distinguish it.
Thankfully, I was wrong, and Aura turned into a legitimately fun romp. The jokes get steadily better and now hit pretty much every time. It also helps that they're (relatively) inoffensive and most of the characters are actually likable, even with all their quirks. (There are also some surprising heartwarming moments when you least expect it.)
And, for a slapstick comedy, the social commentary, when it does happen, is pretty spot-on. The Leviathanians who turn to crime actually give a fairly convincing argument why they did so, and most of the bad guys have legitimate, down-to-earth reasons for what they do.
I'm honestly really impressed by Aura. It's managed to elevate itself above its genre, and it's been a consistently good read for quite some time now. It's one of those webtoons I'm always looking forward to reading.
