Maybe it was the wording or perhaps her tutor's expression, but it really ruined the story as a whole for me... basically the author compares the tutor-student love in the story to an unripened fruit, however, at the very end the tutor thinks to herself that even an unripened fruit can rot and judging by her expression she seems to have lost interest which completely ruins the entire flow of the story (in other words it doesn't really add up at all)... though maybe that's not the case and I'm overthinking things but it really seems to be the case.
