This read might come off as offensive if you know anything about transgender issues or LGBT issues in general. It seems to perpetuate the stereotypes used against the LGBT for cheap jokes. I could excuse the jokes if they were critical of what they were discussing, but it was nothing more than surface humor. Don't expect much from this one aside from really shallow humor.

Had some potential but then it just started going nowhere. It was a bit fun as a light read but seriously, the writing didn't really develop much. Still, it was just okay though I wish the creator had written in more scenes, more characters and a bit more story.

Btw, since this is from the creator of Karin, expect a lot of silly humor based on stereotypes being interpreted wrongly. Almost all humor is offensive anyways.

Really. It's just too damn fast-paced. There is almost no character development and the major conflict was resolved in about 30 pages.

Even the humour wasn't all that funny.

...but that's about it. It started out really promising with a funny premise and likable (but strange) characters. Then it just started seeming like it was rehashing the same basic jokes and humor. It could've been great if it had kept up that same momentum throughout the volume. As it was, it just sort of fizzled as it went. It was still worth a read, but it wasn't anything out of the ordinary.

it starts awfully funny but then it drops very much halfway through. seems very rushed in the second half of the volume story-wise and art-wise....it couldn't become by any means something ground breaking even if it wasn't rushed 'though...it uses the apartment building cliche but the characters are all freaks and weirdos so it is good for laughs

the art is terrily bad in many panels...ugh....and it looks like the creator gave up towards the end

even if it's not that good of a manga i enjoyed i more than other manga i finished recently which were supposedly good....it was bad but at least it made me laugh a lot at parts... i read it in one hour and i'm a slow reader so expect to spend 45 mins reading this

The premise starts out good, stalkerish young woman moves in next to her high school crush only to discover a major change in the person. The problem with the manga then becomes the motive for Shirahai's transition to a woman. Instead of exploring the allusions to femininity of his childhood, the author went with more of "impulsive homo changes sex to win the heart of his love" stereotypes.

There is an amusing and weird cast of characters, and if the series had been allowed better development of the lead characters and more volumes it would have turned out much better instead of the wound down ending we got.
