I life noble world. I Love it.

Rating: 9.0 / 10.0
I begon to read the serie a few months ago and i have read what has been translated 3 times. I really liked it. It is a lot of politics between nobles, but half of it is what determine how the story progress since some plots are related to the reación the MC's actions or his mere excistence has in some hostile nobles and the social class diferencua. It has adventures and lively characters too. So for me it is like the worlds and characters really feels alive and make you wonder what will happen next. A novel writer especialy should read it and put deep in their hearts the importance of really consider what is good/bad/necesary on his/her world and how the interaction between people and their social status affect the story.

Unfortunaly the high level magic was way too easy to get, like the autor didn't want to spent a lot of effort there in order to advance the plot as soon as posible. Also since there is a lot of politics and explanation it is not a story for everyone, but those who can apreciate the importance of having a story world feeling alive and/or like to read/know how troblesome can be the politics/social class in a place will found it like a beautiful gem rarely or never seen.

I read ahead on the raw WN using google translated up to the latest raw release or close to it [02-20-16]. Anyway need to give better comment information than most of the previous comments about it boring. You may actuality find it boring because the story does sometime drag on and the pace is slow going when there interesting thing going on. All and all the story is not going be fast; you may find it boring because and I believe it going at a rate of a normal everyday life type of pace and "everyday life" is boring. Now back to some other stuff.

1 - Story/Plot will be slow pace (as explains above)
2 - Action & Adventure will be minor in the story
3 - MC want adventure but get drag into other stuff like politic (and we all know that politic is boring, well most of us anyway)
4 - romance? Romance is set in the back-burner then the front. It there but it like a conservative type
5 - politic, politic, politic
6 - Chapter length (each) - long
You the reader will be the final judge to see if this is boring or interesting or both. Me, I found it both.

MC's situation and personal life (up to the raw - [02-20-16]) for people who want to know.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
MC: rank up in the noble rank, not stating what his rank is but let said it is still lower then that noble that his father family is neighbor to, over the mountain range.
MC current age (up to the raw - [02-20-16]): around late teen and early adult
MC age when marry: around late teen and early adult (modern term)

MC official wife (marry to):
Number: 5 (around his age or younger, all of them)

MC wife to be (marriage date not set):
Number: 2 (one younger and one older then the MC age)

MC mistress/lover/women or how other view them in these term
Number: 2 (older than the MC age; both of them)

potential wife for MC in the future (maybe-MC did not agree on this)
Number: 1 (younger than MC, very young)

People who want to be MC wife (stated but not in front of MC or MC wife)
Number: 3 (younger than MC, all of them)

MC offspring (from his wife's):
Number: I forgot but they all just got born

Nothing to See Here

A story has never bored me as much as this one.

Like many reincarnation stories, the first arc is about him developing his magic.
It was horrible. Nothing he did was followed up on or interesting, but I forced myself on because I assumed the author was just poor at introduction arcs.

It gets worse.
He finally starts his adventure into the world as an incredibly talented magician, but he still didn't do anything to alleviate my boredom.

Finally something interesting happened...but it was over by the end of the chapter.

There are two things distinctly wrong with this author's writing style.
1) Instead of actually writing about stuff as it happens, the author's prefers to just have frequent time skips between chapters and recap on it. Even with some major events.
2) I don't know how he does it, but epic events just feel underwhelming

Also the romance is poor.

Don't waste your time on this.

PS. The first ~24 chapters have a lot of translation issues

Boring story with inconsistent common sense

1. The author keeps repeating concepts and re-summarizing events from previous chapters too much. Literally, 30% of the writing space of every chapter is spent on that...
2. The author makes a lot of contradictory and inconsistent remarks. He describe a girl that the mc rescued as REALLY STRONG but the girls were cornered by two weak wolves....Or another example, he is surprised that the mansion he inherited from his dead master is large and luxurious despite knowing that his master is RICH and the top mage of the country.
4. The mc is too indecisive and cowardly.
5. The story goes nowhere. Literally nothing happens for 20 chapters except the mc recapping and re-explaining old concepts...

Something Missing...

there's 33 translated chapter of this novel and yet I can't bring myself to read through until chapter 33. The story is so dull that I just can't focus to the plot while I'm reading this. It feels like something missing in the story. There is just none of the edge, anticipation, curiosity that I want when I'm reading.
Its not a bad story, It just feel like the is no "life" in the story (if you know what I mean)

Okey, the nice cover got me interested in this one. Unfortunately even if the story has all the ingredients to be amazing its bad. The pacing is very slow, bad world building and no story sum it up. What could have made the story decent would have been to add what the MC is really thinking, unfortunately he is so dam PASSIVE!.

To sum up this storys approach, what happens when a looser is reborn ---> he stays a looser with no goals.

Poor focus

I gave up on this after 15 chapters. Putting aside the issue of translation quality (many lines were absolute engrish or machine translation), the author's writing itself suffers from pretty newbie mistakes (i.e. garbage dumping world info at beginning, dumping info that isn't used, etc.). This is worsened by the lack of focus in the story.

The end result is a lot of pointless text. Pointless descriptions, pointless exposition, pointless details in activities, etc. Lots of text that don't move the story forward. I gave up on chapter 16 since even the activities of the MC seemed pointless.

Since this got published as a LN, I can only assume it gets better at some point, but it must happen way later. From the amount I read, it was meandering and, frankly, incredibly tedious to read. I only held on as long as I did because of the high ratings, but in the end I felt like I just wasted my time.

It's good, considering it's a rehashed "reincarnation to a fantasy word with cheat powers" As nakie08 below commented, it has a lot of question/weirdness early in the story, it get explained/wrapped up later on tho. The closest description I have for this title would be MC plays SIM City...

I don't know if it's the translation or the novel itself, but my impression of it is not that good. The author is still fumbling about to find the purpose for this work. It doesn't have identity, a thing that distinguishes itself from all the other "Sucked into another world" LNs out there.

There are tons of descriptions of landmarks that you would not care about but when it comes to the important things like character development, it slacks. The MC goes from a newbie magician into an OP one in a chapter or two. There's little common sense in it too. For example; their village is suffering from lack of food variation, only eating stale bread and porridge when there's a forest filled with game to hunt. And when the MC hunts and brings back meat, they all look at him like he's a genius or smth. And then later it was shown that all of them can hunt all along. So why were they restricting themselves with salted porridge in the beginning?

From what I can tell, the author is trying to make this a politically inclined story. Only, he is not good at it. All he ever mentions is "reclamation" "Our family is poor" "Family feud" "Poor knight nobles". Shallow politics. And then he will go on making it about food. It's very random and doesn't have any solid direction.

I just can't continue reading it.

The plot's a little slow at first but it does well by using it to detail the world that the MC is put in. It is refreshing that the story doesn't merely focus on a harem for the OC. Rather, it is limited and only used to detail the social class differences that each character has. The current translations are a little awkward but the story's great plot still comes through. I have high hopes for this! smile
