Great little series

This series checks a lot of the right buttons for me when it comes to BL. The characters are all adults, which I prefer, and are also all queer identified prior to the romance storylines, which is nice (and a lot more believable than the "I love this one man only" trope). There are some GREAT consensual sex scenes (a lot of good permission seeking) which is often absent in BL.

It's all very sexy and cute and low drama, which is exactly what I look for in a BL title.

Get rid of the make-believe "adults' cruel world" narrative and I'm good

I quite liked the characters and thought the main couple is very cute together, and would've enjoyed the whole series all the way if it had stayed simple and sweet. Instead, because the manga's setting is supposedly an adults' ~real world~ the author just had to insert cliched struggles and worries that grown-ups have to deal with, without knowing how to properly execute them and make them believable. I can't say I didn't cringe at some of those 'drama' moments which feel ironically very juvenile and childish despite the mangaka's attempt at depicting a mature and realistic cast. That's not to say she's the only writer suffering from this problem though; on the whole the manga is still pretty cute and has some hot smut, so I'm sure it'll be enough to satisfy many.

Steaming hot blue collar worker romance
by KanranSei

To be honest, for me personally, the biggest selling point here is Maki Junichirou.
He's an adult gay man, a simple, no nonsense, physical worker worker man with simple mind, seemingly rough attitude but actually sweet and mushy inside. Plus he's smoking hot. Totally my tipe. I also have very soft spot for LGBT stories that doesn't revolve around high profiled people, but among everyday people like this, moreover it's set on a factory, a place where the masculinity can be toxic between the worker, and you might think they are just some rude people who doesn't know what consent means. So reading this will give you a....very real, adult, and down to earth feeling.
There's also very real sibling issue between Junichirou and Kou, and another family issue between them and Gen-san. I could relate to Yukinori's issue too because I feel like I'm incompetent, clumsy, and will never be as good as my parents.
The plot is simple as it's a slice of life, but not without some sweet and heartwrenching moments. The sex scene were hot. Maki Junichirou is especially hot. Damn. I can't remember any other yaoi seme hotter than him tbh.

ADULTS HAVING A MATURE RELATIONSHIP
by gwkimmy

but not without its faults! anyways, I thought it was incredibly refreshing for Yukinori to be insecure about his relationship with Maki, but not in the typical annoying "noooo omggggg i'm not good enougghhhh, i have to leavvveeee youuuu" nonsense that is unfortunately EVERYWHERE in other bl. He's insecure, therefore he keeps a mild distance in his relationship with Maki. This only makes Maki work harder for Yukinori's affection, but he still lets Yukinori go at his own pace. It's refreshing to see adults work through their own problems and give space to their partners to work out their own problems. The end result is only that much sweeter! I'm so tired of the melodramatic chase because some wishy washy uke thinks they aren't enough!

I think the problem with the way the work problems Yukinori has are portrayed aren't that they aren't realistic enough; I'm sure it actually is that stupid and cutthroat in the real world. It's that the way they are written seemed a bit melodramatic and only presented in a way that would increase artificial drama. The writing for the work dilemma took a backseat to the relationship development, it seems.

One other thing that bothered me: Maki sure seemed to like Yukinori all of a sudden xD was he just physically attracted? I would have liked some insight as to how Maki came to like Yukinori.

Amazing story and the art is very very good (don't believe the cover!)

It's a great love story, a bit of baka-comedy, with two adults as main characters. They are likeable, also I like the fact that they are down to earth and have "normal" problems because it makes the whole story believable. And real-life-like stories are the kind I like the most. There are funny moments and other good points but the strongest point of this story is the plot and also storytelling. It's amazingly good. I wish all yaoi had storylines on this level. There's enough background, not too much drama, a lot of supporting characters who aren't flat or boring, moreover there's interesting side story in the main story.

The art is sooooo good, unfortunately the cover doesn't show it at all. Honestly that picture is so-so. Why did they even choose that one? Anyway there's also one shot (2 chapters-long) with sexy young characters, it's more on the funny side but with a drastic twist in it. What can I say? this manga is definitely worth to read.

One more thing, I disagree that there's not convincing "adults' cruel world narrative", I mean I had friends living in Japan and they depicted me pretty well the whole culture of work and job hunting in Japan, in other words how Japanese people work and treat their jobs. It's very different than in Europe, I was speechless a few times, when I heard about some of their habits, like - did you know that a common Japanese guy doesn't change his workplace/company more than twice in a lifetime? If a man in his thirties had 3 companies (or more) in his CV nobody would hire him ever again. In Japan changing a job is a bad thing, it's risky and unwelcome. It's just an example. In this light - I'd say this mangaka depicted this world quite well. It IS cruel, I'm sorry.
