Aimed for the stars ended up staying on earth

Honestly the execution of this story is a bit messy, could have been shaped differently. I do like the idea of the whole astronomy theme though, I also felt like the characters were genuine and, together with their actions, realistic. One setback is that the author could have focused on less flashbacks and more character development. These before mentioned aspects were not necessarily "bad", however, the back-and-forth kind of phasing made it less than plausible.

I did like the story, but I do not think it will stay with me as something memorable.

this manga also tackled a theme I don't see too often in bl: giving someone a second chance. there's all the second chance after a time skip manga, but I don't think this one is similar. Ohara was hurt and in a bad place regarding his feelings for Kawai, so he couldn't accept him. It was a bit frustrating seeing two people in love with each other but being unable to connect, but this is the reality sometimes. They kept missing connections and drifted apart, one feeling bitter and one feeling forlorn. I really appreciated how this manga emphasized the "work" part of a romantic relationship: if you want a relationship to work, you have to be willing to put the work in for it. Both characters were hectically busy adults, but wanted to be with each other so ardently that they had to make it happen. That's love right there.

Packs a punch of emotion

To be completely honest I went into this manga expecting some mediocre drama to serve for a plain and average story, but it surprised me with how emotional it turned out to be despite looking a bit messy at first. The characters definitely grew on me and I came to care more for their story with each new development, which is always one of the things I value most when I dive into a fiction piece. The delivery is still a little clumsy much like the manga itself, but that is an endearing thing in its own right - the mangaka made it work somehow. I'm pleasantly surprised.

It's a beautiful story about two astronomy fanatics falling in love. A guy who gave up on his dreams and love life is brought back to his true self by the one he loves. It was nice to read such a mellow love story. I definitely think it could have been done better in the second half. Ohara was continuously disregarding Kawai's thoughts/feelings, and it was just dragging out the story beyond what it needed to be. Also too much emphasis on Kawai being normal and Ohara the opposite.. such a non-issue that took up several chapters.
