There are a lot of cliché dramas too. Art style is pretty and feminine

23122024 update: 8.7/10 wait i came back to this page just to feel kind of shocked i gave this such a low rating and bitter comment.

Despite the weaknesses i mentioned, I know I love the feeling of this manga: it's passionate, it's filled with feminine feelings, melancholy and mood swings that are dramatic but somehow heartfelt. It IS a Shoujo manga. Very gripping. I never reread or rewatch but I know i ve read this 3 times

AMAZING CHEM This manga has one of the loveline you'll never forget: The lingering longing, the stimulation of a forbidden love; moreover, FML is such a moe i love her ><

STUNNINGLY SOFT AND LOVELY ART I love the art: it's super pretty and expressive.

To my 2022 self: Rapey? :(( that's problematic. tbh i dont rmb any rapey related event, but if my2022 self is correct, its just sad...

Reading this was so upsetting
The female lead has virtually no self respect - she continues to follow around this boy who is mean to her and it's not cute - it's sad
The story gets better but the set up is just so terrible

Around the time the female lead is in the hospital the male lead decides he's going to take initiative and chase her instead of making her constantly chase him

But then he doesnt make any effort to be there when she is discharged from the hospital

She texts him and he doesn't ask to meet with her
He thinks about wanting to see her but then just goes back to his apartment and she happens to be there waiting for him because she is yet again the person chasing after him

Another thing that really bothered me is the scene where the female lead has sex with the male lead for the first time - it didn't feel like he was making her a priority at all

He sees that she's uncomfortable and in pain but doesn't say anything until she asks him to stop and even then he just says, "I'm sorry"

He definitely could've been more considerate of her by moving more slowly and making sure she was comfortable especially since he's apparently been sexually active since he was at least 16

To me- it wasn't the sexy love scene that they acted like it was

Lastly what parents would forgive a boy who punched their daughter in the face - everyone got over it way too quickly

This manga art is clear and nice, i love this style plus author know how to build main couple - Yuzuru & Hana relationship.
Their love is just too strong so it not have many rivals in this manga, more focused on Yuzuru's side. 90 chapters but 1 chapter like under 30 pages so it's good for me ^^
One of my favs tbh, and this manga rated kinda high on shoujo manga JPN webs in 2019.
Recommend for shoujo manga lovers tho 🙂

slow start, but really wonderful

at the time of this review, I have already read about 60ish chapters of this manga. The art is so beautiful, and the characters (even the minor background fodder) are drawn so intricately. The manga itself spends a lot of time developing the relationship between Yuzuru and Hana. I don't think I've seen a shoujo spend this much time and detail on dialogue between the two leads. because of the care and attention paid to the development between the two characters, by the time the romance actually starts, you are completely convinced that Yuzuru will do anything for Hana. she has him wrapped around her fingers.

i also like the lack of malicious characters, it feels much more realistic this way. the drama that involves the main characters are solved by the main characters through open communication. I think that if you are looking for a slice of life to read, i would definitely recommend this manga.

I really enjoyed the talks of the future between Hana and Yuzuru. She recognizes that although she wants to be there for Yuzuru, she also has her own future to worry about... as well as the parents who are paying for her education. The manga properly discusses her career choice and doesn't gloss over it like typical shoujo does... in fact shoujo mangas usually don't extend beyond graduation

however, it does take some patience as the pacing of the manga is quite slow and there are only a handful of chapters out in the english translation. Each chapter is roughly 25-27 pages, so it takes some time to move through.

the art style is great but the freaking plot is disgusting.
the main characters sucks.
Is so annoying to see a girl acting like that, I mean if you like being the second choice and be left out well good for you. oh dear, this girl is annoying as hell. She forgives everything what's done to her by the "love of his life" this bastard can act like an asshole towards her but she doesn't do anything, she's like a dog around him and he's always supporting his female friend, yeah right.
For god's sake this manga needs to burn in hell.
