This is set in an analogue to the 1930s, with the Kou Empire standing in for Imperial Japan and mighty battleships roaming the skies over a China analogue via the "Sky Containers" (probably some type of self-contained heavy lift air propulsion). Given that there was still a Washington Naval Treaty that established to limit fleet sizes, it is likely that the other Great Powers also exist in some form here and the political maneuvering seems like it'll be good fun.

The male lead is a boy from a mountain warrior society that has been wiped out. Having lost his right arm to a magician's curse, he seeks out a magician to help make himself whole again. His society placed men high above women, putting the latter in the position of chattel and requiring them to have strict obedience to men.

The female lead is cursed such that she kills other people on contact. She is obviously distressed by this along with the abusive treatment she receives from the male lead and the constant violence and death that follows the pair, even though she tries to hide it.

This seems like it will be going places, with the politics, unhealthy character relationships, interesting power balance, and clean art all paving the way for a promising experience if the author puts in the requisite effort.
