WTF did you guys read ? First of all it's only 2 volumes and it's told (and retold) from many different perspectives, so there is basically no story at all, and 2nd: what was even the point of it all ? The MC wakes up, stuff happens and he goes back to sleep, the end.

The ending didn't really feel like an ending, after one of the random battles it just ... ends. Nothing important is ever explained. It really feels like the author wanted to continue but seeing what a poor job he did, he probably had very low sales and had to cancel.

Also I really hated the way the author added in all those irrelevant bits between the dialogues, "i felt this .. I noticed that "... irrelevant, stating the obvious, needlessly dragging out revealing stuff/people that was hinted at pretty obviously. Talking about useless things, even acknowledging they are useless and yet still including them ...The authors story telling skills ... just awful.

And what's with almost all the characters laughing at the beginning of almost every sentence ? they're demons, I get it, but stupidly laughing at everything just felt super odd and wrong, completely unrelatable.

I did like that he told the story from so many different viewpoints, but that's about it, the story was short, pointless and lame, the characters had some development but didn't really do anything, they fought a few pointless battles I guess.

It's really no wonder why this didn't get any sort of adaptation.

A grand mix

These two books contain 10+ different viewpoints on life and the action happening. Some you will laugh at, some make you want to cry and others you can't associate with and they bore you. It is simply a great work that feels like it was written by multiple people due to varied it is.

There is something in it that you will like and likely something that makes you want to drop it (as I did twice in the second book before finishing it).

Sighs.... This is such an slow novel.... Sighs....

Soo, that's the format you will encounter, constantly. If you cut out 90% of the superfluous expositions then there is a feelgood story in it about our own desires and what simple things that can trigger them, but simply not worth the effort to sort through the mud to quote the MC.

It's a comedy. Why I feel like I love its action?

At first chapter this story give a feel of a comedy.
After that I can see the epic battle which make me hook!
As I am reading this, I am wondering why the story of a guy who do nothing is so much fun?
I think it probably is because of the lazy thing this MC does making this novel so unique and interesting.

The multiple narrator is interesting too. It give us many point of view and their though about the world.
There're some change and turn of the story that did not expect which make this novel interesting.
Please keep reading and you will find this to be a super good story
And yes the MC is OP but did not annoy me one bit!!
And as @dim1 said, I can feel related to him in one way or another because I like to sleep in the weeken and lazy to do anything as my life doesn't has any big goal I want to do. (Even though I don't sleep extremely like this lazy king.)

Most people they got ambition but why bother? What wrong with lazing around? The story is about someone who can gain power by lazing around and being one step above comatose. Me I love sleep too so I feel for the guy he just wants to sleep and do nothing, me too (well maybe a little bit of reading). Everyone else except a yandere wants him to work or being the king he really doesnt give a care about.
The world the story takes place in is the demon world where the word "hero" means run, nobility is the furthest thing you could expect from the residents.
This being a multi-POV story it swaps between characters perspectives and is hilarious to read each having their own opinions of the main character our Lazy King, Leigie of the Slaughterdolls. Well our protagonist is super overpowered but unlike the protagonists that are op he isn't trying to hide his skills or blend in he is just too lazy to be bothered with wars, destruction of his domain, betrayals or being beaten by his supervisor he will just sleep through it until it can't be helped.
Well this story isn't for everyone it has its confusing points and its lulls but it is a comedy and an action so expect laughs but some battle scenes.
