Hojo best boy. Natsumi best girl.
Aki and Masa can just burn in hell for all i care. How dare they entangle themselves with these two pure people.

I hate self-sacrificing tragedies/characters. The heroine is so obnoxious. She can't commit to one guy because her feelings are torn, but that causes undue heartbreak and misunderstandings in the long run that causes more pain. I can't stand this type of shoujo manga...

i liked it at first but then it started to become really annoying. Everyone were so childish but i finished it and it ended like i wanted but still it has a really bittersweet feeling for me. I would recommend this manga to someone who has absolutely nothing to read.

If this story got any longer, I would drop it. But because it lasts only 3 volumes, I finished it. Well, the characters are so fake T_T I mean, you can't find them in real life. They are so stupid.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
How could the girl go out on a date with Hojo while she's in love with Mase already just because Hojo asked for it @.@ And Hojo should have found it weird when she had decided to be his girlfriend. It was purely out of pity. And the girl in black (I forget her name already), when Aki shouted out loudly to prevent her kissing Mase, she should have realised something fishy

The plot is by no means good. In fact, it's possibly one of the most pointlessly melodramatic plots I have ever come across (and I read hundreds of shoujo manga). The main character is irksome at her worst, but most of the time, she's just bland. I don't really have much of an opinion toward her, since to be honest, she doesn't really have a character.

Which brings me to my next biggest gripe. There's absolutely no character development. I say, thank the heavens it ended in two volumes because there was no way in hell that I was going to read through any more shoujo melodrama. Melodrama that occurs literally for no reason except random "events" which seem out of place. Both male leads have little to no personality. I admit, the childhood friend (I don't even remember his name) is adorable at times, but to balance it out, he's actually pretty childish and annoying. Hospital boy has his own issues, but at least they're partially justified by the manga-ka.

Overall, it's forgettable. It's annoying at times, but the art is good and it's short, which disguises a lot of the manga-ka's failures (described above). Because none of the characters are really developed or described well (either subtly or directly), I can't really find any faults with them, only the manga-ka.

I'd say, read it if you're in the mood for something dramatic. The entire story lacks something that makes me want to read on though, since the plot is predictable and at times non-existent. But I was actually able to finish it (on one of those days that I had absolutely nothing better to do), so it's not entirely terrible. The "story" is literally pulled together by a series of unfortunate events in which the main character finds herself.

I just feel bad for the main character, because the manga-ka didn't even give her a character to work with. Fans, don't kid yourselves about any deeper meaning. There is none. The paneling is awkward, the characters are... (already described), and the plot is predictable. I almost wanted to laugh at times, but that might be my more sardonic side coming out.

Like previous comment posters, I read a lot of shoujo manga. But unlike many of them who wrote glowing reviews, I wouldn't say this is a gem. It's not even an unpolished rock, because literally, there is NO substance to work with.

It's like.... a bitter-sweet candy that doesn't taste all that good, but you consume when you have nothing better to eat. Despite the fact that it offers little satisfaction. It's not really a spoiler to say "unsatisfactory ending," but then again, it might be because it's difficult to get attached to non-existent characters.

Aki has got to be one of the stupidest heroines I've come across. Her "kindness" is the main cause for all the drama in this. I read all the comments on how people would do the same thing in real life. WRONG! I highly doubt that. Anyone with a little sensibility and pride would understand that staying with someone out of pity would hurt all the parties involved. Anyone in her position would get that they're not completely at fault. Feeling guilty and taking responsibility is fine but you don't do it such a cruel way!

And the accident wouldn't have happened if she had just flat out rejected him when they met, or if not that at the very least at the beginning of their date. Why do you freaking go out on a date with him when you like the other guy?? And it's a damn hair tie! I get sentimental value and all that but even so, I don't think Mase would have killed her if she asked for another one.

Aargh..stupid story. It made me want to get in the story and slap the heroine left and right while screaming "Hey! Get a grip already and stop f****** things up!" The plus point is the art. I thought it would be a dramatic but relaxing shojo. I didn't think it would make me so frustrated. I'd recommend it only if you love drama.

i actually really liked this, even with the subject matter it wasn't over dramatic. it was heartbreaking, and i felt the main character's pain and turmoil.. i don't know what i would do in the situation, probably the same, which is sad. but it's such a lose lose situation! and i agree, it hurt so much more because you want everyone to be happy and yeah. sad it was about the right length too, it would have dragged a little otherwise in my opinion... most stories do!

Spoiler (highlight to view)
i kinda wished there was a more climatic getting together with mace and aki.. it's like they struggled for the whole story, and had cute moments before the accident, but then had that ONE cute moment at the end.... which was pretty much overshadowed by the other characters' hurt in my opinion :/ sigh... but you can't help it can you??

From the description alone it's pretty obvious that she's going out with Koichi out of pity not really love. So if I had to change something it'd be to add more drama. But I guess it was a good read. Short and sweet.
