Slice of life?

The first volumes are all about the delinquent, irresponsible past of the lead character, and how he changed and does all he can to provide for his family and sick daughter, with occasional health tips (I kinda liked the health freak theme). Over time, though, the manga dissipates from the cheery slice of life side to full fledged drama. Relationship drama everywhere isn't really my thing. Somewhere in between, sure, but it's too much.

This is one of the few 'Slice of Life' series that I have really enjoyed. The characters are easy to identify with while still being refreshing, the plot has a nice contrast with a bright future and dark past, and the protagonist is an absolute nut over health (which is a great thing in my eyes). I would easily recommend this to a friend.

I finished volume one and look forward to reading the rest. The artwork is nice and the plot and character interaction is touching. The health fanaticism makes for interesting information as well as comic relief.

Its got tons of blatantly emotionally touching moments that revolve around family. Overall its really good with a number of wonderful elements to it.
Its pretty much a "feel good" manga, another manga that gave me a similar feel was "Ii Hito"

Loved it, I thought it was so cuuute. I loved the detailed drawings of "healthy dishes" and those anecdotal moments. I'm a sucker for mangas which centres itself around family.... especially life with kids.
I'm really digging this seinen/slice of life genre.

Its kinda like watching Jean Reno in "The Profesional" if he had gotten out of the mob and become an educated family man. Enzo is an endearing character who inspires and guides those around him as he learns to be a better person from them in turn.

If your looking for a story about someone taking care of a child look no further!
The story is very touching and awesome. The main protagonist reminds me a little of Onizuka from GTO(Great Teacher Onizuka) if he were several times nicer and had a child. All the characters are well developed and interesting; they fit well with Enzo. The conflicts that arise are amusing, and some are just captivating, making you anticipate every page!

Damn, I liked this. Excellent stuff. Nanami and Enzo are just so adorable together. Its just as the other reviewers said. Deep, touching story about a family with plenty of problems. It really runs the gamut, sometimes really funny, and other times I just wanna cry.
you must read this, unless youre not interested in parenting.
