Life at the margins

Tonari no Onna (La Mujer De Al Lado, in Spanish...) compiles six short stories of very hard life in the margins of Japanese society. All except one have an adult male protagonist, frequently an unsusseful mangaka, that survives of meager wages, schemes or is supported by others. The protagonist of the remaining one is a school aged kid that works between adults in a factory and lives by his own.
Probably autobiographic, the stories are similar in tone of Tatsumi gekiga work even if less bleak and tragic.
The graphic style is stripped and realist but Tsuge talent is evident on his expressiveness and sense of design.
The book was publish in Spain, in 2017, by Gallo Nero Ediciones.
