Probably one of the worst adaptation ever

Jumpy scenes, weird dialogues and expressions put on improper/wrong timing, unexplained characters and relationships. Every chapter doesn't make sense (or maybe it does, as a stand-alone, but never as a continuation from the previous to next chapter). In one chapter "arc", it suddenly focuses on soccer scene, which practically makes the genre turns into sport. I the next "arc" , it suddenly becomes a kendo-sport manga. The next next "arc" it suddenly becomes a street-fighting/brawl manga. So what's the objective of the plot? What does the main character wants to achieve? What is the secrets they're hiding? There is no character growth and development either.

You have 22 chapters to actually properly introduce characters and still having some romantic scenes, but you just have to kill it.

It's just unfortunate though, seeing how it has quite a good art.
If it's published originally as a manga I'd really have a low grade for this, but apparently it was adapted from a novel, which makes sense if the story are TOO squeezed in. Just hoping the novel could actually be better.

Haven't read the ln so I cant say for sure if the manga is following true to it or not but, there is no transition of scenes. Everything is jumpy, you are not properly introduced to characters or their relations with each other and it seems the summary is just the back story and this follows so weird almost Ranma 1/2 type love competition.

In short trying to squeeze in too much without proper exposition leaving the reader confused.

My biggest issue with the story is the main heroine.

The main heroine in 3 continuous arcs does stupid things that endanger herself and her friends! (Falling out of a window just to take something down when her friends tell her to leave a banner alone), her boyfriend (him hurting his hand by breaking bricks with his hands to show off just because she manipulated him into agreeing to something when he was half-asleep) and leading him and her 2 female friends into dangerous territory with gang bangers without explaining WHY she wanted to go to that place AND KNOWING WHY its dangerous!) Combined with her ignorance of how EVERYONE in the school loves and how everyone focuses on bullying the guy and never getting reprimanded makes me infuriated with her and not in a "she's endearing just because she is cute" but She is a plot device to push the drama in stupid ways that endanger her friends way.

I liked the manga up until the kendo arc because it reminded me of Scott Pilgrim but with realistic fights! But that kendo arc started to pull relationships out of its ass to explain how everyone knows the MC from the past which isn't even talked about up until that point.

My last complaint about this manga is how the art makes everyone distinct except for the secondary characters. The issue gets really bad when you have the student council female friend, the main male friend, the kendo couple, MC's friends in a photo and a delinquent girl all back to back and it is hard to tell them all apart aside from hair length. I love the art but it's really hard to tell them apart, especially during close ups.
