well there aren't that many chapters out, but the story seemed kidna interesting...Im just not in the right mood for this right now...definately worth reading...the smutty part is a bit....weird...I don't think any girl would allow that, so I'm going to have to say its not really realistic.

Must the world be plagued with yet another story about an innocent girl and a playboy who teaches her about sex - and has no other apparent plot?

The art is beautiful - but the rest goes with the stereotype. If someone attacks heroine, you can guess who's around the corner to rescue her. The guy is smart and intelligent (and all _other_ girls are like >>f.. me please<< towards him), and the girl.. well, she is weak but have big boobs and wealthy parents. There is also past that can be guessed from the first hint given..

I don't really understand why have I even finished it - maybe because of art - really nice and detailed...

If you like good looking smutty manga and have no expectations towards plotline, then that's the manga for you smile

I like it, but the stereotype isn't my favorite.

This is one of the best smutty manga, though, and I loved it. The main guy is really cute, and I also loved Club Papillion. But of course, the heroine is the useless/pathetic/weak type, which really annoys me.

Ok, so this story is sweet and the smut was a little hot under the collar at times. However, I wouldn't call this the best smut/romance manga ever. mediocre, maybe at best.

Rumina showed alot of strength of character when running away form home for freedom at the beginning. However, I didn't understand the mangaka making her become so dependant on Allen to do everything for her and then portrayed her as useless on her own. Kinda found this disheartening as at the start she showed promise. Same goes for Allen too. At the beginning he was a handsome, dangerous, risky guy. But you kinda expect more as the story progresses. Though you did find out he is good with maths, drawing and applying make-up(?)

Some of the smut scenes felt force. Kind like the mangaka thought "Oh haven't had a hot smut scene in a while, lets squeeze one in here."

I don't know... I just felt like the whole manga was missing something that stopped it becoming deep and instead it became something crappy.

I don't mind cliched mangas as long as it has emotional impact. Although there was alot of love declarations, the story, characters and their love didn't draw me in at all.

Also drawings were a little off at times.

My favorite Kayono work.

Royal 17 is definitely Kayono's best, I think. Rumina is a likable heroine, and Allen is definitely a great knight in shining armor for her wink I like their chemistry together and the plot is a clever one. The story is paced well, keeping you interested over all three volumes.

Yeah, it's a bit over-the-top. Rumina's a bit too rich and princess-y, Allen's just a bit too perfect... but I enjoy reading shoujo for its over-the-top fantasy, so I don't mind. And if you're a sucker for a good rescue scenario... This manga's for you! There's lots of damsel-in-distress scenes with triumphant rescues wink

And yes, there's smut. This is a Kayono work, so it's to be expected. But the smut isn't too extreme, just a bit raunchy. And hey, who doesn't like a little raunchy smut every so often?

At any rate, this is an enjoyable manga that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys white knights in shining armor or smutty melodrama. It's good at both smile

As for the extras: "Club Papillon" is a great one-shot that keeps the unresolved sexual tension building up throughout the entire thing. Definitely a good read! The "B-Men Kazoku" extras are really cute and it's great to revisit those characters. "Princess Paffy and the 40 Thieves" is another one of Kayono's "Arabian Nights" styled one-shots. I love how her art style fits the theme on these - and this one is another great addition to the set.

well, I dont think this Manga is pretty good since I got the feeling the Mangaka didnt have any plot in mind but drawing what comes in her mind. Somehow I also got the feeling that the concept of this series was originally just for one Manga and not for 4. The story is not "twisted", its just like I wrote with 14: "Oh, I wanna write this and that now!"

Basically, the main character always gets molested and changes her mind pretty soon (what a "nice" girl), her fiance is so not funny and the "cool guy" who will be her bf is kind of... I dont know how to put in words, but the character design is completely superficial, but it seems to be for all characters of the series.
At least there is no rape...
