Among the class transported to another world, Nagumo Hajime is an ordinary male student who didn't have ambition nor aspiration in life, and thus called 'Incompetent' by his classmates.

The class was summoned to become heroes and save a country from destruction. Students of the class were blessed with cheat specifications and cool job class, however, it was not the case with Hajime, with his profession as a 'Synergist', and his very mediocre stats. 'Synergist', to put it in another word was just artisan class. Being the weakest, he then falls to the depth of the abyss when he and his classmates were exploring a dungeon. What did he find in the depth of the abyss, and can he survive?

Not bad but disjointed

So as of right now I’ve read up through chapter 23 and although I may seem critical it is by no means bad.

So it is entertaining but you are often thrown off because the author skips much of the main character’s growth and some much needed exposition about the main’s skills and abilities. Often times out of nowhere the character will be using tactics, items and skills that almost seem to have been magically drawn out of a hat.

This seems to originate from the author being too focused on developing his overarching plot and thus neglecting the smaller parts that would really flesh out the story.

The best example of this would be that at one point the characters reach a point where normally a story would slow down a bit and go to a lower gear for a bit. During this a certain amount of exposition, character and plot development would happen together to give the story more depth. However instead the author decides to keep the story in 5th gear by doing a two month time skip and give the bare minimum amount of exposition necessary to keep the reader on track.

In short the story becomes shallow like a friend telling you the plot of a movie. Sure it’s entertaining and isn’t bad but it lacks depth, sometimes seem nonsensical and is highly dependent on keeping a certain flow going to be good.

Loved the way this manga was telling an original story, despite using many of the "summoned to another world" tropes. Now that they've forced a typical useless, happy go-lucky comic relief character (ch15) into the mix the quality and originality will probably suffer. A lot.

My only problem with this at the moment (ch.7) is the fact that they took him to a cave to fight, even though it was loudly proclaimed to all that he is only an artisan class. Where they proceeded to laugh and jeer at his mediocre stats. So of course they would automatically assume that he would get better stats if he went to fight stronger monsters with everyone else. Am I the only one who expected him to die after this stupid decision was made?

The light novel started off strong, and somewhat interesting, for the first couple of pages. After that, it just kind of turned into some kind of preteen angsty, Mary Sue of a main character with the writing structure and logic of a an equally old fanfiction writer. If this is based off of that story, it's only an inevitability until it hits that point.

I've already read a lot of the novel, so maybe others might find 1-3 interesting, but 4's where interesting things start happening IMO. I enjoyed the novel and the art looks pretty decent in this, so hopefully I can enjoy this as well.
