An absolute delight! (Thus far)

It's been ages that I read such a good, feel-good, and damn-right-it-should-be-this-good josei.

There has not been any bottle-neck, no wishy-washy swaying feelings and actions, only truth, honesty and sensibility thus far. (Along with the constant slaps and exposé of fictional romantic cliches and troupes that I'm pretty much living for LOL. I mean if you do these things right, you're well-off! But often, lesser authors (considerately in term of experience) only abuse without much care and thoughts, for the doughs and popularity all guesses.)

In my perspective, the sensibility here is that the author doesn't shove it to her characters to be to either end of the polar: submissive or expressive - which are often the cases overshadowing creative freedom towards, how to say, authentic, representative and progressive characterisation. With Fujita and Yachi, I can definitely see and feel their Japanese traits. All the while, they are both forward-thinking and forward-looking to be less stereotypical: Fujita is reserved, less communicative, but she says what she wants and means when she needs to while Yachi is the golden retriever, all glossed with smiles, jokes, and teases, but honest and forthright with his thoughts and actions.
Thus far, they both have yet displayed clouds in their developing bond and trust in one another.
Despite dramatic, "Kitto Aishite Shimau n da." is always assuring - and I absolutely love it while fawning over the adorable characters!

Onto the side characters, I like the straight-forward Ayano too. The ex-boyfriend Kumagai, though, while he can be easily hated/despised is pretty easy to overlook because of how "straight" our main couple is. But for now, he is typecasted as the dominant, career-oriented guy that put convenience of work and life ahead feelings and emotions. While there is nothing wrong with that or rationality or reasons, and there are people in life similar to him, I don't have hope that the author would change his storyline with any innovation further down the road, considering this manga is completed. (Maybe a couple of years now?)

All in all, it's good office romance with comedic notes. (I emphasise the "good", which in this case beyond the word's meaning.) Her other works are not highly rated. But don't have doubt, you should definitely check this out! I am learning stuff from this as well. So it's good! Go for it!

I'm at volume 3 right now. (Thankful to snacc scans for picking this up!) Even if I end right here, it's already on all the good notes! But I doubt this will not be a happy, satisfying ending. Or does the author like to throw readers off the table? Not sure. For now: Highly RECOMMENDED.
