Not a normal read

Not to say it's all that special but it's not trying to be. It's a relationship between two psychos and the romance of death and questions the logic of identity. The art is really good and the story keeps you thinking and wondering how it will turn out. It wasn't worth waiting monthly for, so I came back to it after a year. It's enjoyable as a short read so don't expect too much from it.
There is no typical happy ending but who decides that. This focuses on philosophy and it's trying to tell a lesson. So don't just look for the romance and attempting murder look past that and see it for what it truly is.
More can be added to the story but that's because the characters were charming, it was best kept short though.

Has a good premise

But unfortunately the ending was all over the place and felt super rushed and axed. I wish this series could have been more drawn out and fleshed out when it came to weeding out the different hypothetical possibilities or scenarios.

Characters had so much potential but then the story just started twisting it in like 4-5 different ways within 1-2 chapters. In the end the characters fell short and there is many gaps in critical details. The ending was very wishy washy and even made me wonder why I decided to even begin reading this as nothing really progressed or changes. This manga turned out to be so disappointing, I really would have loved to seen this work out, it really could have been a masterpiece if it had been written better.

Can't really recommend this, though it wasn't bad.

Enjoyed the first eight chapters, would have rated this manga a 10 had that feeling been maintained. I would have liked a less '''''''''philosophical'''' ''''' 2nd half to this manga. At least the story itself was good, as was the art, visual style, and main characters.

Great start, questionable conclusion.

Original review of the first 6 chapters: This is another manga by the brilliant writer/mangaka duo behind Medaka Box. As always, the main cast is weird / excentric / insane, and just genuinely fun to read about. I'm loving it so far. Looking forward to how this story will conclude.

Addendum: Well. I didn't feel like the story's potential was fully explored; instead, it went in all kinds of weird directions. I guess this is supposed to be some kind of philosophical treatise on "individualism", but ... it's pretty incomprehensible. I was ultimately disappointed with this manga and its ending.
