trauma handling

I can't emphatize with the characters. Extreme trauma is just ignored, glossed over. Wish it was not as extreme, I don't like dark stories, but as it is, this should have been a tragedy.

Nagato is such a memorable character, he became one of my favorite characters ever! The way he handled Ai and his words to him throughout the whole story were all so lovable and mature.
Loved the writing, the art is pretty and the flow of the panels with the characters expressions (dunno if this made sense) were just amazing, I kept going back and forth on so many panels.

Not gonna lie I expected more angst and darkness but it was the complete opposite, I guess the description is a bit misleading, but nonetheless I was satisfied with what I got.

Uncommon!

At the beginning, I was unsure about this one, but one thing was absolutely amazing for me. How the rape was portrayed.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
A lot of yaoi manga has a tendency to use "rape considered as something good" trope. But not this one. It was a good surprise to see how rape was actually considered as something wrong. It was amazing to see how Nagato not forcing sex on Ai, but instead waiting until he would want this. Finally.

Of course, manga has its weak points. You can call it too fluffy at the end, but as I'm actually a huge fan of fluffy stories, for me it was good. I also love how Yamato was portrayed. I love how my opinion was changing through the whole manga, from "I'm not so sure about him..." to "Damn, Iove this guy so much!"
For me, it's a good "dark story turns out to be cute and fluffy" manga.

The art is very pretty, the plot is good. In the beginning I thought it'll be angsty, twisted story but it took completely different direction. So what? what's wrong with the happy ending? is it really that bad to end up in a satisfying relationship? I don't think so. I like happy endings and I don't quite get what's all this bragging about. Sorry.
The characters - mostly delinquents - are smart, purehearted and easygoing, they have different personalities and looks, I like that there's a lot of them, that the real world appears in the story, that it's not just the main couple and their own separated world. I also like the second story, it's simple but funny. Well... there could be more depth in this manga and more background for characters but it's not just some average story, in general it's worth to read. It was fun.

Misleading.

The mangaka was trying to be serious with this one, but after the first couple of chapters, she fell back into her old pattern of sentimental melancholy.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
In stories like these you don't expect everything to turn out so neat and tidy. What could've been a good, intense drama basically turned into a lukewarm fuzzfest. This mangaka doesn't write sad/non-happy endings, as far as I know.

I really like it!

The mangaka's drawing style reminds me of Ogawa Chise-sensei's and Sakyou Aya-sensei's works. There was actual plot and a variety of characters were portrayed. What I liked the most, though, was that the first story is the best example of how you should treat your partner (both in yaois and in RL). The seme in this one learnt about his crush's horrid past, realised his feelings, then confessed and was open about it but all along he waited patiently for his love-interest to turn to him. It's very rare to see in yaois a seme trying to match up his pace with his uke and get physical only when it's 100% consensual and if that's your cup of tea, then this short story is for you.

The second story is nothing like that. There we see a straight guy, who's into all kinds of things, experiment with homosexuality. Then he cheats on his boyfriend but is forgiven. His cheating incident, however, affects their relationship and causes all types of struggles for that boyfriend. Again, there's a happy ending.

All in all, you'll actually enjoy reading this and some lines like "I didn't know this was the first time I had sex", will stick to you for a while...
