Read until you start hating it

I re-read this recently trying to remember why I dropped it even though I really liked it.....oh. Yeah, like the other reviews said, it starts off good, gets worse and worse, gets bogged down by unnecessary drama, then just...ends. Final verdict, read the good parts, drop at the bad parts. You know you've reached the bad parts when you ask yourself "Where the hell is this going?"
Liked it at first but then Hated it as it went on

Christ I hated this. I hate it even more because I actually kind of liked it at the beginning. Junoh has the communication skills of a piece of soap. Ffs. So much pointless drama that could've been resolved if he just opened his mouth. The only good relationship was Minho and Gitae's bromance. Romance wise, Minho deserves. Junoh on the other hand, can eff all the way off.

Unrequited love. Everywhere. It's like the author picked this title and decided every relationship needed not just a sprinkle but a downpour of unrequited love. I started off having no idea what this story was about and thought it had some potential in the beginning
I'm not a fan of sudden POV switches either. Minoh started off as the main character and then the POV switched to his love interest, Junoh. I thought that was fine since he was a main character too, but during the last third of the story, it suddenly and completely switched POV to this side character I didn’t even remember by that point. I was waiting for the author to switch back to Minoh, but then the author would introduce a problem, which would snowball into another problem and another problem, and I’m just sitting here waiting for the original problem to be solved and asking the author to pls stop adding more.
Not my cup of tea.

Junoh exploring his newfound sexuality with a supportive best friend, Gitae, who may or may not have a crush on Junoh
, but it just became too much unnecessary drama way too fast. It went from a triangle of love interests to a rectangle to a pentagon to a hexagon and every other polygonal shape you could think of. And between those shapes, just draw lines everywhere. Boom you have this story in a nutshell. Also half of the time I didn’t understand why a character was making particular decisions.I'm not a fan of sudden POV switches either. Minoh started off as the main character and then the POV switched to his love interest, Junoh. I couldn't bring myself to finish it, but apparently the drama ended with an unsatisfying conclusion in like 1-2 chapters after 40 chapters of unnecessary drama. Tbh I kept reading, because I really liked the relationship between Minoh and his best friend, Gitae, who was the best bro that could ever bro. But out of all of the romance fiascos, that was the one relationship that the author left out OTL. In the beginning I thought it would simply be a love triangle between Minoh, Junoh, and Gitae but hoo boy was I wrong.
Not my cup of tea.
Love it. Will reread over & over again.

Summery: It starts off as your typical OTP romance with obstacles & misunderstandings, then goes in an entirely different direction, & that's where it gets good. It becomes a soap opera with a growing cast of characters in an extremely convoluted love polygon. One guy will have his heart split between 3 boys. Another guy will romantically pursue two guys he can't chose between while being chased by two other guys. Lots of drama, confessions, secrets, conflicting feelings, old love, new love, painful love.
Main character: The story will put heavy focus on whichever character calls for the most character development at the time, so the 1/3 focuses in Minoh, the 2/3 focuses on Junoh, & the 3/3 focuses on Chang-Hyun. Then the last handfull of chapters go back to Junoh's POV.
Drinking game: Every time someone gets called a "shitty bastard" or a "psycho bitch," you take a shot. (Yes, there is plenty of casual swearing in this series)
Cons: Really samey character designs. Chang-Hyun looks like Junoh, Chang-Hyun's Sister looks like Gi-Tae, Kang-Jae looks like Minoh.
Suspicious: This & "At the End of the Road" ended the same week, both with a rushed ending. Soonbo had more plans, according to her Twitter, like Gi-Tae & the purple haired guy hooking up. In the epilogue, Soonbo felt like the story was dragging & decided the quality of the series would be better if she ended it. It just seems that what she says in the epilogue & on Twitter contradict eachother. I felt like the story was getting better & better & ended abruptly with so many potential story angles untouched & some questions unanswered. When I told her this in a Tweet, she liked it instead of defending the end, so I feel like maybe the publisher might have twisted her arm to wrap the series up.
Recommendations: Dasadanan, Circle, 19 Days, Raising a Bat, All About Lust, Unripened Expression.
