Description
High school is difficult for most kids. But for Kayano, a shy girl whose single mother seems to work all the time, it's even worse than usual. Flaws: the characters start off strong but peter out right from the get-go into one-track personalities, utilizing old trite "characternamehere is so strong, it's amazing" devices and constant, sappy, unbelievable love-triangle intrigue and other soap-opera conflicts. Takeru stops being a devil quite quickly, obviously, and there is little humor to be found.
But sometimes cliches don't appeal to people, and more often than not, they work. I can't comment inclusively, but to offer some examples of shoujo: if you adore "hater-turned-boyfriend" stories, or, perhaps, Kare Kano, or other Drama-Romance-Shoujo-Slice of Life, then this manga is probably worth your time.

NOOOOOO! I like the story but I can't get into the art AT ALL. Everyone, everyone in this manga is fugly and to add insult to injury their outfits are nerve-gratingly bad too! Male protagonist looks effeminate and NOT in a good bishounen manner, just simply alien, like he is neither female nor male and ... sort of sinister too. Main girl could be a potato farmer, her ugliness kills. I wish I could read this, but I can't. Maybe I'll give it another try in the future, but only if I have nothing else to read. If you can put up with the art go ahead and read it, it seems like a good story (as far as I got - round chap. 3 or 4).

At first I liked this manga a lot , but the end is such a nonsense. I don't know what you think about these stories where the main couple have a lot of hard times and when all is OK one of them leave to study abroad, work around the world or to live in alaska, but I think they are bullshit. I'd like to listen to your opinion but if It were me, like hell I will be waiting 5 years for him.
how can people think Takeru, he is an idiot that gets manipulated all the time. plus, when he was a kid he pushed his own brother down the stairs. what a sick sob.
It was decent, the progression was really well, although I felt that the climax was unsatisfactory.

The art put me off at first but i finally went back and gave it a serious try and it's really good, even the art it gets much better after a while. i loved the story and the characters, worth the read =)

I was really hooked by the first chapter and what kind of manga I thought It would be, but as it goes it gets really predictable but I kept reading it. I also didn't like how much the heroine cried in the later chapter it's just...I don't know too shoujo! The art is gorgeous I love how Takeru's hairstyle changes and how his style is drawn really intricate very detailed on his accessories. Well, that's about it really. Anyway I really recommend this manga I thought it was a good read

well i got hooked to it from the first chapter...it has a nice romance plot. touching and there is a bit of drama...yeah the main girl cries a lot so be patient with that.but i really liked takeru's character coz you can tell that he really loves her...^^..plus the art is really good!well it's the kind i like since i'm not a fan of those giant eyed mangas...plus the male lead is modelled after Hyde heheehhehe

Anyway like everyone comments about this, this manga is simply amazing. it plotted very well if u did not watch the drama or re-reading it, im sure u will be hook till end.
PS: She like to draw with people expressing the "middle finger"

I love everything about this manga except how predicable plot is and how much the female lead cried. The plot is predictable, but it IS a shojo manga, and shojo mangas (with some exceptions of course) are generally fairly predictable overall. The art took a little getting use to at first for me, but the more I read it, the more I liked the art. The title kind of annoyed me because it only stands for like, the first chapter. The male lead was only devil-like for about 2 pages and then the author starts pointing out all his nice and caring characteristics and totally contradicting the title. Well, overall, I still love this manga, and you really should give it a try.
