Description
From VIZ:
In the not too distant future, mankind battles over O-Parts, relics from an ancient civilization. It takes a special kind of person to unlock the full potential of these remnants from the past, and a unique breed of humans known as O.P.T.s (or O-Parts Tacticians) become a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately, O-Parts can be used for good or evil purposes.

Jio is a young boy with a tragic past who only trusts one thing in the world: money. Little does he suspect that he is actually a very powerful O.P.T., and inside him sleeps a demon of incredible ferocity. He meets up with a girl named Ruby, and together they decide to embark on a dangerous quest to discover as many O-Parts as they can. Will Jio help Ruby realize her dream of becoming a world famous treasure hunter? More importantly, will Ruby help Jio realize his dream of--world domination?!

Mediocre, uninnovative shounen

Pretty much what you could expect out of any other shounen. Young male lead with mysterious powers, unusual past, useless female companion for him to rescue a number of times, a rival, power levelups, overcoming things through the power of determination, and all of it really bland, with a grand evil scheme threatening the world that makes as little sense as it usually does.

Listen, i enjoy shonen more than the avarage reader, but saying that this manga it's generic it's not enough to put into perspective how formulaic everything is, if you have read a decent amount of shonen you're going to be able to predict every plot twist on the series. Also words can't describe how forced some of the "sentimental" scenes are in here, for the most part the majority of secondary characters are introduced on an episode and you're expected to get sentimental over their situation even tho they had barely any screen time. The humor it's meh. The characters designs are ugly as sin, specially kid Jio who is the definition of overly designed. The idea of hunting rare O parts sounds fun, but that gets immediately forgotten in order to have more fights and that wouldn't be a problem if the fights where good, but they're not, the fights are extremely repetitive, formulaic and predictable and if you hate mangas like Fairy tail where the power of friendship wins everything, BOI this manga it's definitely not for you

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
there's one scene and a characters who made me consider giving this a higher score, Kirin. He's the best character on the series and almost every piece of good writing it's dedicated to him and while I'm not a fan of the fights in this manga, the resolution of his fight with Kujaku was extremely satisfactory and by far the best fight in here, it's a shame that the chapter following that fight it's one of the worse episodes of the series.

Also yeah, the ending it's a complete mess with a lot of plot holes but that's whatever, I'm more disappointed over the fact that the undertones of life being nothing but a cycle of information never got the time it deserved, seriously that's the most interesting stuff in the manga but instead o talking about that they talk about friendship and the value of feels? You could at least tie both of those together and have an intellectual fight or whatever, but that would require original writing and we can't have that.

If i had to say something good about 666 Satan; the Demon/Angels designs are on point.

Generic Shounen

Nothing really interesting here but one more unmemorable shounen manga with a predictable formula and characters.
The art-style is not very good either and the flow of panels in fights is confusing.
I for one find it more similar to rave and DB (at the beginning) than to Naruto.

(its not finished and im still not bored about it (quite the opposite) its alot like naruto but WAY cooler~
but the last few episodes were a bit draggy and slow.. but the rest of the manga were fantastic so it kinda makes up for it biggrin )

^ So that's when i was still reading it... 5 years ago in 2008, when I started the last two chapters I just stopped because it was totally out of pace. I only decided to finish it now for the sake of finishing it -w-;
666 satan has some really original ideas, and I loved the addition of angels and demons... but the ending...It just wasn't cool or dramatic and I didn't connect with it well. It was like... ooo tentacles drop from the sky and wrap people up into this gum ball thing and wants to destroy everyone while laughing "Kuhohoho".... no, REALLY ?? HAhaha I'm sure there are a thousand more creative and gripping ways to end it =w=;

haii, i wish the author did a better ending!!!

It has some really nice ideas nevertheless.. i would recommend it, but it's not on top of my list.

I gotta say I enjoy this A LOT more than Naruto, but all I can say is for the naruto fans out there... Of course "this is a lot like naruto"! the author of this manga KISHIMOTO Seishi IS THE TWIN BROTHER OF KISHIMOTO Masashi who is the author of naruto, so of coarse you will see alot of similarities in their work

to all the people saying stuff like "this is alot like naruto" id just like to point 1 major thing out, the author of this manga KISHIMOTO Seishi IS THE TWIN BROTHER OF KISHIMOTO Masashi who is the author of naruto, so of coarse you will see alot of similarities in their work

also from what ive read (^chap 25), the only REAL similarity is the art, other than that its nearly completely separate from naruto

Well many people may think that this manga is similar to Naruto but i say that this has a totally different plot and storyline than Naruto. If you are a fan of RPG games then this may somehow grab your attention since it has some similarities with games because each weapon has different ability and they mention its effects and level so it is kinda fun.

But the characters growth effects the manga a lot for example the manga has 3 timelines, one which Jio is 13, then when he gets 14 and finally when he gets 16 and at the first volume you may feel that the manga isn’t that great since the plot is really old (Ruling the World) but later when the main characters get to fight the main evil organization the awesomeness starts.

And the fighting scenes are great plus there are many funny moments and I didn’t really feel that it is similar to Naruto beside having a beast in someone’s body wasn’t created by Naruto, there were many other manga that had something like that so you must check on this manga.

Although I do agree with most everyone, the ending was just not what I was expecting. And if anyone had the time to actually look, the author is actually the twin brother of the guy who created Naruto. I personally hate Naruto, but that other than the fact that the authors are siblings that is the only thing that has to do with this manga. I really enjoyed reading this long ago, but as I'm reading it again I see that it could've had more going for it. I still give it like a 7-ish.

It had a good story, though lots of things I could compare to Naruto, sadly (I never enjoyed Naruto) and because of all these similarities, it seemed less original. I could brush it off with the "same inspiration" excuse though. Now let's review...
I loved the story... to a point. I could do without a few things, but other than that it was fine. The way it was executed sometimes though, was badly done. Also, again, many similarities with Naruto.
Art was the same/close to Naruto's, but once again, "same inspiration" excuse was used for my enjoyment of this series to continue. I also don't think that Naruto and 666 Satan's is the best/greatest, many other works are ten times better.
Characters... some I liked, some I didn't. I disliked Ruby and Mei, same with other females that made me ashamed to be female. The characters weren't always chivalrous, and rash, which made me like the characters more (the stupid, brave, and strong characters annoy me after a time), but then again, some were like that.
I also want to point out, the ending wasn't as bad as people were saying... it just wasn't the usual "happy ending" that many prefer to have. Although it wasn't exactly the best way to end the series though... all in all, it was good, I enjoyed it.
This series deserves a 7.5, because even though it was a great story, it wasn't executed well, the characters weren't all original, and throughout the series, I always inadvertently compared it to Naruto.
