Clichéd, but still a pleasant read

I'm a sucker for stories with childhood friends, and unrequited love, so even though it's as clichéd as the other ones with this trope, I still enjoyed it. Nothing special story- and character-wise, but it's still a nice read for those, who like these kind of manga.
And for the art: I seriously don't get why people seem to dislike it, but I LOVE Kusabi Keri's art! The characters are pretty, their facial expressions are filled with emotions, the sexy time is super-erotic, with the little details on the panels, that add a lot to the intimacy between the leads and enhance their chemistry. In this particular manga, there're two panels I love the most, and I just caught myself up on staring at them for minutes, before continuing reading, which happens to me quite rarely.

the paneling was an absolute mess in this manga. it was so cluttered, it felt like the mangaka was trying to squeeze everything into the pages and it felt suffocating to try and pick out the details.
characterization could use work. I was hoping for a real flashback to the guys' youth so we could see some of their feelings, but we really only get one really good flashback. in the end we don't get a whole lot of insight into the characters or their motivations as people. just that they like each other for some reason. oh well.

It started off very stereotypical and boring but every chapter after the goukon got better and better. The small actions like the uke stroking the seme's ear during sex was so sweet and touching. Their love for each other was just very refreshing. I didn't have a problem with the art. I thought it was really pretty

art was decent or even good to me, if you want a counterview to the other comment which said it was awful. not the kind of sketchy art style that is an acquired taste either.
that's where the good part ends. plotwise, it's dull, cliched, predictable- the old childhood friends drift hoohah. honestly it's ok to give this one a miss.

Souta and Ukaji were childhood friends that were meant to be together from the get-go, their timid japanese nature, though, made them bottle up their strong feelings for each other and achieve happiness later on in life. It's never too late, though! The story is full of yaoi cliches but all are perfectly executed. The art is very beautiful but I noticed that all guys looked ridiculously tall for some reason.

The art was a hell to watch. Felt like it was done by a middle-schooler trying to win an art competition in school. The level of cringe was real with this one.
Story wise, pretty ok. However, sometimes it was messy and confusing. Don't know if it's the author or translator. I'm putting my money on the later.
Conclusion: a meh manga, with meh art and meh characters. Nothing special.

The plot is your typical cat-and-mouse chase between childhood friends before they ultimately become an item, but the execution is not as clichéd as I had braced myself for, so that's nice. The art is also decent, and most notably very graphic, so those looking for that would be in for a treat.
