Even though the plot isn't amazingly unique, Motomi's execution is pure brilliance. Both of the leads are lovable, and while the story could've easily turned into an angsty emo-fest, it's not and I'm glad for it. It's a lighthearted romantic comedy with just enough drama and suspense to keep me coming for more. The artwork is also rather good.
I highly recommend Dengeki Daisy and also Motomi's other manga- Beast Master.

Despite what everyone says, this manga is horribly shoujo. The Gary-stu male protagonist with a dark angsty past continually saves the poor, ditsy female who also has an angsty past.
But I guess it could do soooo much worst and probably is one of the better shoujos out there. It truely is comedy gold and never fails to make me laugh. The characters are likeable enough and Kurosaki is much more bad-ass than sickeningly pretty. Extra points there.
So to all those people that love shoujo: you'd probably love it.
to all those people that can barely tolerate most shoujos like me: it's worth a try but don't expect it to be as good as say, skip beat. Theres great potential in becoming a giant angstfest. D=

Seriously, this is my new favourite shoujo (old fave was Kaichou wa Maid-sama)!
First off the art is BEAUTIFUL, you are never left trying to decipher whats what (like what i've found with most shounens) and the guys face still looks beautiful even when he's being super creepy XD
Which leads me to the guyxgirl stuff, VERY cute how they both react to eachother, and how things develop.
Also as well as the romance plot, theres also a mystery in the whole "Who exactly /is/ Daisy?" I dont just mean whats his name and what does he look like Bit by bit you are further enticed as to what actually happened in the part and what is happening now and in the future.
And as a bonus for moi, theres enough danger-enduced drama to keep me satisfied
A MUST read and it definitely deserves the top spot for the Romance genre that it currently holds

If you hate it, you have to be mentally disturbed or something, 'cause this is beyond the best manga I've ever read! The releases are coming by fast, so I LOVE YOU SCANALATORS. The plot is going good and I hope the mangaka can keep up this beautiful plot. It's so cute and ABSOLUTELY FUNNY. I totally recommend this manga [seriously].
Love it so so so so much!

AHHH~ this is so good. It's so nice to get a break from all these stupid shallow shoujo mangas floating around. I love the story, I love the characters, the setup, the dialogue, the humour, the scenes, KUROSAKI(!!!), everything. I read this before but after reading it for a second time I am in love once again. Recommended. Highly recommended.

I haven't read anything by him that I didn't like. When I read Beast Master, I thought that this must be the pinnacle of rom-com shoujo. Everything from now on will be a disappointment.
I was wrong. Dengeki Daisy is by far a superior manga to Beast Master, and there is no other series that I have read so many times. Any words that I could possibly use to describe it are horribly inadequate. All I can say is that I hope it goes on for a billion volumes. XD

Heroines that are ditzy, superficial, or fall in love at first sight are so cliche and unrealistic. All of Motomi's heroines are the opposite of this, and Teru from this story is a great example. She's a strong girl that only opens up to Daisy, something a real girl is likely to do. The situation itself is unrealistic, but the love between the two characters is difficult for all the right reasons and becomes something you want to believe in. This is one of my favorites.
Like all you others..

And this one is in my top five most favorite ever. She's so wonderful at expressing our most crucial emotions in a valid, wholly believable, wholly real way. Her stories touch my heart in ways that most shoujo- most manga- doesn't. I haven't felt so invested in the ebb and flow of a character's life since Kyoko and Ren of Skip Beat. But all sensei's stories are like that. Simply wonderful.
