I disagree with @emziepiex3. true high schoolers may like sappy scenes but a good manga should not rely of these scenes to be good. the more subtle the romance is, the better. It's the tension that makes it good, not the actual moments and this manga does it very well. Character development and the way of thinking should take priority over romance scenes. i prefer reading what the characters are thinking and what motivates them in acting rather than scenes of kissing, hugging, etc, etc...that's just lust. In a way, over romantic scenes, that can be seen in manga done by mangakas like arina tanemura is frankly, cheap and immature.

It's very lovely manga, and if you hadn't read it, I immediately recommend you to read it. Uncommon story, you could call it a gem. I want it to be completed, since I want the two to hurry up and get together. This manga is just one of those mangas that make you think "this is it." If I were to mention any flaws, it would be that there are too many rescues in this manga. One is fine, two is okay, but I'm pretty sure I'm used to them by now. ==
It has that humorous kinds of characters like from Lovely Complex. I love how Motomi sensei has a unique style of art and is capable of creating lovable characters- not to mention the very cute bishies... =^^=

A Strong heroine is always welcomed in my book. Dengeki daisy manages a good balance between humors and drama. Even when the manga reaches its dark part, the mangaka sucessfully avoided overdramatizing the angst. The result is that of heartfelt moments and relatable characters. Any manga thatcan make you laugh and then cry a few moments later deseves to be on everyones reading list. Highly recommended.

I read this because of the overwhelming amount of positive reviews it had. I admit it’s a cute and really sweet story, a definite recommendation for shoujo fans, but the pacing is kind of slow. It does pick up a bit midway, but it’s still less plot-oriented than what I expected. I’ve read most of it now (I’ve tried reading multiple times) but I don’t find myself eagerly flipping the pages. It’s got this mellow, genuine feel to it, but I’m not really dying to see the next chapters either because it’s very slice-of-lifey. The art is pretty good though. The heroine is strong but not kickass per se, just more of a normal girl who is pretty grounded but holds onto the idea of Daisy very unwaveringly. She’s not annoying at all and quite funny, so if that’s what you’re looking for in a heroine, this is a good bet. The guy is not the typical jerkface who is cold and then is actually sweet and whatnot. He’s rather different, and it’s nice that their relationship is very real and portrayed with depth. I would generally recommend this manga, but I can’t say it’s my type either because though there’s character development, there’s not enough of a plot to keep things moving.

Throughout the first half of the manga, they were hyping up the hacker guy as some sort of Japanese Tim Berners-Lee.
And then we get to see his bookshelf.
Dude's got like, what? Intro to Ruby? A Cocoa book? Really? I was expecting at least a few volumes of TAoCP on there. Maybe the dragon/wizard/dinosaur books too. Hell, he should AT LEAST have a copy of K&R, considering what he does for a living.
I was extremely disappointed.

Does this manga get better? It seems to have a lot of great reviews but I'm just bored when I read this :s the characters are likable and the comedy is well done, but i feel there is something lacking in the plot to keep me interested. It's very episodic - one bad guy per few chapters...then there's the huge overall plot that the manga keeps hinting at but never really dives into. I really hope it gets more interesting....i dont feel that the plot is engaging at all, at the moment..

If there's one thing shoujo mangakas should learn from this manga, it's the art of creating an intriguing story. When I started reading this manga,I thought it would be just another story about the trials and tribulations of an age difference attraction. Boy was I wrong!!
After reading 39 chapters,it still manages to leave me wanting more. The story is more than merely a petty romance---it has depth and dimension. The characters are lifelike and their motivations become my motivations because the mangaka makes me want to care what happens to them.I think this is what makes this manga so beautiful---the story seems simplistic, but its execution is absolutely captivating.
-------
EDIT: I'm lowering my rating for this manga because the hacker plot is extremely boring now and I feel this manga should have concluded a while ago.

I expected the story to be as lame as the title but I was pleasantly surprised. Teru is very likeable as the main character. She is strong yet still able to be silly at times. She is able to stand up for herself when she needs to not just relying on DAISY to come and save her even though she asks him to. I think the thing that makes her stand out from your average shojo heroine is that she seems like a normal girl. Such a simple thing that not a lot of shojo artist seem to get right.
Like Teru, Kurosaki has a lot of depth and character as well. It is the mystery behind his past and his motivations that really drive the story. It’s not just a simple “and then they fall in love” story. The way he interacts with Teru is genuinely sweet at times, even when he’s feigning meanness. I get very tired of reading about hero’s that are just perfect and never do anything wrong, or even if they do it’s an exception or treated as if it’s okay because they did it. The story questions if the heroic things he does are really good. Hacking for instance if, even when it’s used for good, it should still be considered a crime.

I definately reccomend Dengeki Daisy to anyone that likes mystery and comedy, I think that it's very well put together and the characters are very well developed. I love Teru and Kurosaki's chemistry, you can really tell that they like and cherish each other very much. It's also kinda sad so for anyone that likes that, this is for you too. It's will make you laugh, cry, and make you think. I really love this manga and I say if you are thinking about reading it, go ahead. You won't b disappointed
