Unnecessarily complex narrative drags down a story about a great couple with incredible chemistry!

Rating: 6.0  / 10.0
(Some minor spoilers). Whoa, this one, IMHO, wend the wrong way too quickly. But the beginning, so so so delicious! The whole Woojin knows who is in Siwon's body, and tries to persuade him to admit to it - and the cat and mouse games between them, the push and pull, the incredible chemistry, the sheer sensuality of both of the uke and the seme... Whau, I was hooked. But then everything just went of the rails. Their relationship took a back seat to a predictable, boring web of cliche yaoi things. Jealous brothers, bullys, out of wedlock children, secret identities... WHY? WHY? They had an incredible thing going, and IMHO if the just kept it up, with the complex tit-for-tart between the uke and seme, this would have been an absolute winner. But it turns into a so-so, not very thrilling mystery. By the end, I was so underwhelmed that I hardly wanted to read the extras, altough the uke and the seme as characters do appeal to me and I have some modicum of interest in them.
The art I liked, it reminded me a bit of The beast must die, one of my favorites. And I also liked the Mad Dog from the same author, and I see some of the same problems there too. But boy, does he know how to build tensions between the uke and the seme, he rocks there! Just for this aspect of the story, it's worth reading, maybe even twice (some parts).

Nice but a lot of plot holes

Totally hooked, but a lot of plot holes and lack of realism. First thing, this manga tried to go in the direction of realism (it's not fantasy or parody/comedy). What I didn't like - I didn't like the twins' parents the most in the manga. They didn't care why there child tried to kill himself, didn't care why he weren't at home, and anyway it seems like they didn't exist, this aspect annoyed me because it wouldn't be like that in reality. Then it's a rather disappointing ending, because the guy actually killed himself because his brother is jealous. It wouldn't be like that in reality. Plus, the guy who ordered the rape and watched the rape became antihero and continued to manipulate his twin brother. And why didn't anyone contact the police when they had a rape video? And the last thing I don't believe is the abilities of the main character - in the first chapters, he is super strong and cunning, beating bullies 1 against 5, in the last ones, he can't even get out of the grip of the purple dude and his love somehow manipulates him. I think the author didn't come up with many things in advance and created the plot while writing and it turned out to be so inconsistent. Plus, the author himself said that this is his first work. And what I liked was the main character and his attitude to life, very sexy love interest and how they both interact, the guy with the mint hair was also fun. I would say that the strength of this manga is the characters and dialogues, and the plot is rather hollow... Oh, and he didn't explain why he moved to another body 😀! Although a few panels could have added (eg. someone might have heard me pray and made a miracle!) or something similar.

Interesting drama and gorgeous art!

The plot is engaging and not formulaic like so many other BL stories. Although the main romantic relationship is key to the plot, it doesn't read like a romance. I don't think it will be satisfying for readers who are expecting a romantic drama. As a psychological drama, though, I really enjoyed it. And I do like the romantic elements!

Rape, bullying, and abuse are used as plot devices, but unlike many other stories I've read, this one doesn't make light of serious issues or pair up characters who have seriously harmed each other. At the same time, it's not about those topics, so their impact isn't deeply explored. I can understand why some readers would be put off by that, but I prefer this over stories where trauma is neatly tied up and solved at the end or where it becomes a character's entire personality.

This webtoon isn't perfect, but it's higher quality than the majority of the webtoons I've read. Definitely worth reading.

Story involving body swapping and past playing a huge rule in a relationship
by mimi201

The art is really nice and the premise is interestingly SO good. Somehow though I think the story and certain elements/parts could have been executed better (the body swap, resolving the drama, their past playing a role, etcetera). But again, its a debut work and I still enjoy it. The author improved so much storywise with their next work MADDOG . (E.g, the writing, usage of flashbacks improved, etc.)

I don't remember why I dropped this but I I am going to give it another go again because I love a good body swap with a strong MC lead (and because this was their debut comic)!

The start and development of their relationship reminds me of another BL webtoon series called Kill the Lights. It also involves body swapping at death and past relationship playing a role. Slight spoilers but not really:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The seme is also a pretty boy who treats the uke really bad at first but then treats them well and with adoration. Their past relationship when young also plays a huge role in how they treat them better once they find out that it was someone they liked pre-body swap, just like Woojin to Taemin.

Can't finish this

The art is great. But i really can't finish this series, and that's the only reason i didn't rate this 1/10. I'm so mad because it feels like the author treats the bullying and rape themes lightly. Everyone keeps treating siwon (the real body) as someone who's weak and we never know what actually happened to him at the end. It feels like siwon is being used to make sure our protagonist seems strong and interesting. I just can't accept this kind of treatment to bullying and rape victims and so i have to drop this. I have read many stories with themes like this, some darker even, but this one makes me really upset.

edit: i read some of the reviews and am glad that i didn't finish this. I also read a reviewer calling the real siwon "weak" which does not sit right with me. I hope everyone who reads this (and the author.. i hope) know that it's not okay to call victims of bullying and rape as weak.

*Cringe* body swap stories aren't enjoyable.

It tries to be something by exaggerating petty feelings from immature and twisted personalities, then make them into unlucky and vicious circumstances. Oh I forgot about the angst and suspense, because they're predictable and falls flat.
The most I felt was for original Siwon, the climax and ending wasn't satisfying.
The art style is what made me pick this up, though it has many inconsistencies here and there.
This was annoying to read, only some of the extras were fun. At least the author tried, and this was okay to pass time, but not good value for money with Lezhin imo.

Beautiful Art, Some Plotholes Left

It's been a few days now since I finished reading this -- so I've time to cool my head a little. It was an intriguing story at first as Taemin tries to navigate someone else's complicated life while simultaneously trying to avoid detection by the astute Woojin. The art and characterisation were great on the most part, well worth a read for that alone (certainly got me neglecting all my other responsibilities in a bid to finish it as quickly as possible...).

However, there were many questions left unresolved in the end. What supernatural force made them swap bodies? What happened in Taemin's past? Somehow the backstories weren't detailed enough to be satisfying, for me. Also the antagonist seemed quite shallow, he seemed like a scapegoat for everything that went wrong - he didn't feel fully fleshed out.

A highly enjoyable read, with some flaws.

A disappointment for me

This series has a relatively intriguing premise and deals with quite the topical theme - existential identity, which if executed right could lead to substantial discussions and thought-provoking arguments, and I'm always up for those. Unfortunately it tackled on the problem with a much more shallow and formulaic approach than I would've liked, plagued with a lack of focus in the narrative, inconsistent pacing, and worst of all some of the most common cliches you can find in any typical K-drama when it comes to dealing with suspense and mystery in writing a story. In the end the manhwa boiled down to nothing more than a convoluted plot and a weak attempt at trying an edgy theme, but with hot dudes to bait readers in. At least the art is the saving grace of the whole webtoon i guess. Of course I have to keep in mind that this is a debut work and for what it's worth it is pretty impressive (mostly because the author can draw so well) and shows that the potential is there waiting to be honed and developed.

Unexpectedly so Good!!!
If people worried; Good Spoliers:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The second protagonist was only physically harsh to the first protagonist only ONE TIME in One Chapter alone! The Rape didn't happen between the main couple, so it's safe. The Bullies defeated!

So it was just so Good!!! With Drama and Conflict, still end up makes me Love the main couple's characters ! Both the protagonist just so Good! Not perfect, but their characteristics written well! And the ending is BitterSweet Good Happily Ever After.
