I admit that I'm still pretty irked with how this manga started. Not a great premise. Tengoku creeped me the fuck out and then of course he assaulted Aoki. I was ready to drop the manga but I really liked the art and something about Tengoku analyzing Aoki interested me enough that I was willing to keep going.

Turns out Tengoku needs analyzation of his own (obvi) and the characters really grew on me. Seeing Tengoku and Aoki interacting as friends made me warm up to their relationship a ton (plus seeing Aoki consent). Eventually I began to root for them, even tho the beginning of their relationship put me off a lot. My other small complaint is that we didn't really get a resolution to Aoki's mommy issues, I was waiting for some kind of therapy for that other than sex xD

I almost can’t believe that this is the artist’s first manga. The art goes well with the author’s work. The story is crafted well, I especially like Tengoku, such a complex character on the other side, Aoki-sensei is unexpectedly cute. I like the way they both developed feelings together. There were very special moments where I can really feel the emotions in the panel.

and rater disturbing work since it deals with child abuse and it's consequences in adult life. Also there's S&M sex and kind of dependence relationship in more refined, mature version. In other words there's a bit heavy topic and since mangaka is handling it skilfully this story is disturbing and makes impression, so you won't be able to quickly forget it. Even so characters are likeable and you just can't hate any of them. Thy are smart, slightly fucked up, but also full of assets and they act cool, as you'd expect of an adult. Everything is real-life-like, the plot and the art. About the art - it's good, with perfect proportions, some cute moments and such, it's scratchy at times but I guess it's a matter of recent fashion in yaoi world than any kind of sensei's disability. Beside this storyline with cute, fluffy art would be a laughable parody, so it's perfect the way it is.

If you like odd stories and don't mind S&M you will like this work a lot. I can't wait for vol. 2.
