Description
As a descendant of shinobi, Jirou Azuma has been learning ninja techniques his entire life. But in addition to that, he also has the ability to talk to animals. One day when he rescues a strange black cat named Ragou, he learns that the world is filled with spirits called mononoke that can take the form of both people and animals. However, their meeting is cut short when they are attacked by a hostile mononoke who is after Ragou's power.

I love ninjas and I love cats, this should be an instant 10, right? It would be if the characters all didn't have such a hard headed, trying to be cool personality. The initial premise is engaging and the first volume is extremely fun, but it is also sadly the high point of the series. The art and action scenes are pretty neat, and I did enjoy the plot points that involved the cat, but the quality could have been much higher if the main cast weren't so desperate to be the "cool dude".

I thought the art looked familiar but I can see why it ended at 5 vol. MC feels just bland and the story is disjointed. It's esp weird when it came to the female character so yeah. I lost interest after 3 ch and IDK if I can call it a battle manga since battles weren't that interesting either.
