The best shounen manga I've read recently

Not gonna lie, I cried reading this, sometimes. It's truly beautiful, how human always strive for knowledge, for science. Somewhere, someone would eventually venture to discover the world around them, yearn to understand the nature. Science never dies, as long as human survives.
Also the art is great, the character is likeable. Some first chapters may seem a little typical and boring, but wait until you got to the 'fun' part.
This manga is truly beautiful. A gem of course. Hope it get an anime soon.

This is probably the best shounen manga running in Jump right now. Boichi's art is fantastic (and I'm *very* glad that this isn't an ecchi manga), and the writer proved his abilities with the fantastic Eyeshield 21. Together, they've created something very special - a manga that's obviously shounen, yet still somehow manages to truly get into the spirit of science, awe of science, etc. It's almost transhumanist in places.

Oh, and it's entirely original, featuring a fantastic apocalypse scenario and central conflict. The characters are brilliant, original individuals. Senku in particular is a highlight, a brilliantly written character. But all the side characters have their own personality, their own goals and motivations, and they provide plenty of variety.

(PS: I'm amazed the manga got such terrible ratings on Mangaupdates. Well, I recommend just ignoring those. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's top.)

This manga is unlike any other. It has an original plot and has none of the usual shounen cliches and tropes.

I highly recommend this series if you want something fresh with an amazing plot.

The author is the same as the one who created eyeshield21, so you could expect amazing plot and characters from this.

the author is not boichi so i'm quite optimist the ending won't turn sour like Sun-Ken Rock but i like the idea and the plot like:
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
how they save someone that turn out to be the biggest enemy of previous mankind

and their way of survive in post apocalypse world. it's kinda refreshing because there no battle with nature like Seven Seeds and pretty informative for survival tips. hope the hype won't decline after some chapters
