the story's nice, but I do agree with feyfujoshi, i wish the mother's view/feelings is explored more, just bcs i think it would give more to the story. i love the expressions drawn, the drawing's beautiful and that's abt it.

I am a little bit sad and inclined towards not giving this three awesomes as the relationship with the mother wasn’t explored in the depth that I would have liked, however that’s just me being extremely petty.
This manga was truly an excellent manga. Consensual sex and actual conversations. Gentle loving sex. Chihiro going out of his way to love Shuu-chan, and telling him how much he loves him. So, so, so great. Ah, I have a thing for puppy dog semes so I like this even more.
Still, I am hung up on how the mother’s relationship isn’t really talked about. I was feeling really down about it so it made me extremely happy to see that she makes an appearance in the afterword (atogaki). That really brought me up and I realized this story isn’t about her and I am needlessly centering her.
And the art work is absolutely amazingly awesome the story itself.

Love the art style sooooooo much! The artist did a great job in drawing expressions, also the blush on their noses are cute. This wholesome manga deserves more love, highly recommend.

I didn't find this manga to be that much special or commendable tbh. It's a standard story about a 'taboo' gay relationship where the main character struggles with disapproval from onlookers, particularly his mother in this case. As far as the dramatics went, again it was very typical and exactly what one would expect to follow in such a plot; I did not feel terribly moved by the execution even if I could empathise with the situation. The art plays a part into this issue imo; the expressions drawn on characters' faces make them look rather detached and taciturn at times, which effectively limits what emotion they could project and reduces the impact certain scenes could deliver to the audience. The whole thing just didn't hit me hard enough I guess.
