Okay, even though the conclusion is missing

Of course, there is an ending. Yet the conclusion just misses some clarification and does not pick up the hints, that have been given before. As the other comments said it, there could have been more to it, than just this. However -

The authors drawing style is usually rather clean and simple, but this doesn't mean it's not catchy in a way. It's fitting and doesn't give off the wrong impression, so there is nothing much to complain about it from my POV.

The storyline was okay, too. Nothing out of the ordinary or super creative, when it comes to the known incest setting, still it's an easy to follow read. The same goes for the personalities of the characters, which are on one hand simple and on the other easy to understand. All in all, it's an ideal read for in-between or times, when you don't want to spend that much time on it.

Im gonna keep this short. I really liked the story but i hated the end. I feel like there couldve been more. I love minase misara's works, but this ending did not do it for me. i think there should be atleast a 2nd volume or sequel.

As always I really love Minase Masara's art. The story had its twists, but I still felt like the plot was just slightly above average. However I still enjoyed reading this. Therfore and for the art I rate it an 8.

incest rocks

man, i wish haru thought they r blood related from the beginning, its far kinkier ;P but tatsuya is kinky enough. 'oniichan, stop it!' LOL

thank god they the real deal. i hate 'non blood' incest. hehe. anyway, the art is hard with sharp lines and angular surfaces. it make the characters seem more forbidding. still, the storyline is tight, if i dont go around reading the comments first the surprises will make the story more enjoyable. so i take that into account in my rating.

good, except for the ending

there's a plot, it is a wee bit outlandish, but holds together well enough. there's enough background to invest some emotional empathy in the characters (haru more so than tatsuya). there's inner conflict and angst. the sex is good, if not graphic. the art, as always, is very pretty (did minase spring fully formed as an artist from some wellspring? with other artists you can clearly tell when they were new to drawing manga, but i've not seen any bad art by her ever.)

while this isn't one of my fave BL manga, it is my favourite of minase's work; i like it a bit better than uso to kiss. incest themes between {step}brothers don't bother me in fiction, and the way it's handled here doesn't even feel like incest. the thing i am unsatisfied with is the ending; i would have preferred if tatsuya had not found out what he does find out; and his reaction doesn't fit with his earlier one -- and what now? more lies by omission? i feel as if i've been left hanging a bit; that all resolved itself way too smoothly, leaving loose ends i would prefer to be tied up.

Recommended with clarification on 'incest'

I agree with lylicagalatea about the distinction of blood-related vs non-blood-related incest. I tend to get annoyed with manga that say 'well, despite us growing up together for the last X years, I found out we're not related by blood and fell in love with you so now it's okay'. Thankfully, this one isn't like that. The subject is dealt with very carefully and cleverly and I really enjoyed it to it's end.

A few clarifications about the 'incest' here and what makes it different to me than those other stories:
Spoiler (highlight to view)
In this story, Tatsuya doesn't know when he starts a relationship with Haru that he's his younger brother. When he finds out, he tries to stop all intimate actions with Haru despite the feelings he has let develop. When he finds out Haru may not be his brother (by blood) after all, he takes that opportunity to accept his feelings because he has already stopped seeing Haru as his brother (remember, he only knew Haru as a little kid - at most Haru was 5/6 years old since Tatsuya was wearing his middle school uniform and he's 9 years older. So, it's not that hard to imagine that Tatsuya has trouble looking at the older man, Haru, and seeing that little brother of his when he'd already fallen in love with Haru). Tatsuya mentions at that point that it no longer matters to him whether they are related by blood or not - which he later finds out they are.

In Haru's case, he presumably was told at the age of 5/6 or younger that Tatsuya was not his real brother, therefore, he grew up thinking that way. Up until they meet again, he holds only the utmost admiration for Tatsuya. When Tatsuya seduces him, Haru gives in to it allowing his feelings of admiration to change to those of love. In this case, although he knew Tatsuya was the brother he'd once had, they had not grown up together and instead he grew up believing they were never real brothers in the first place. It's not hard to imagine that Haru could let go of that feeling of 'brother' at this point having lived for more than two thirds of his life without Tatsuya by his side.

Overall I'd recommend this one to anyone who likes incest stories or even those who don't because the way it's handled is great, the art is great, and the plot is sweet and romantic with some lovely confusion and angst thrown in for good measure.

I liked this one! This was the first title from Minase I saw. But it took me three years to finally be able to read it. I like incest Yaoi. This was my cup of tea.

worth a read nonetheless

I can't understand how incest in yaoi mangas is always just a question of blood. That is if they are blood brothers then it's incest, but if they aren't related by blood and "only" grew up together as real brothers then it's ok to f*** each other. To me, it's incest in both cases.
If you think I'm right, then this manga doesn't make sense because it is based on such a preposterous distinction.

However it is not as unbelievable as some other incest based mangas, there's remorse and disgust at the break of the news (at least from the older brother's part, the younger one seems not to care!) and the quality of the art is as high as one would expect from such a skilled mangaka (their thoughtful faces and expressions are beautiful).

So in the end even though the distinction between what is incest and what's not is pretty naive, I recommend you read this because you will not be disappointed.

Wow. I don't usually like incest stories, but she dealt with the subject in a way that it didn't really matter, and I came to like the story a lot. Oh, and the special is really funny. xD
