Going into this story, I had no idea what to expect. It's a story about immortality, astronomical timespans and distances, and about the ultimate fate of the universe (as we understand it based on our current physical knowledge).
That said, it's also set in the Touhou universe, about which I knew nothing, so this made the epilogue rather incomprehensible to me. Well, I suppose that's something one has to be prepared for when reading doujinshi.
Probably highly recommended if you know the Touhou universe, but still fascinating (except for the epilogue) if you don't.
