I honestly can't tell if this is unique in a good way or a bad one.

On one hand, it subverts more tropes than I've seen any other Iseaki that sticks to the generic formula.

On the other hand, the writing can be downright atrocious as artificial drama and bloated dialog take over far too often.

And I'd say the MC consistently makes the dumbest decisions on all the secondary points. Whereas the main points aren't half bad.

It's Jekyll and Hyde in Manga form, but after binging it, I've realized I don't exactly want to go back in to constantly be annoyed with all the bad secondary points of interest.

Dumbest thing I've read in awhile. Like someone already pointed out the pacing is insane. It feels like you're reading with the fast forward button stuck. Just random plot devices tossed in here and there for who knows what reason.

It's like the author mashed together ideas without really giving it much thought. Doesn't help since the plot device is overused. You need something special to make it work and this one is far from it.

...how the author doesn't seem to know how the smithing process is done - MC successfully works metal into the swords etc. at the fireplace of his own living room at the dorm(right after moving there in too). I probably ask too much from the shounen fantasy but that point alone makes it look so lame...
It would be pretty average manga overall, but it just pains me to see some other flaws I didn't even searched for - like modern fishing boats with radars at the rooftop or the houses with lightning that looks like electric bulbs in the interior(the ambience looks hardly advanced enough to allow such things). Shows how the artist was doing a tad lazy or unenthusiastic job. Or when MC was masking himself with magic, making him a bit older looking - drawings did hold that image for some time just to crawl back to original look of MC, without any explanation or reaction from the surrounding characters. Well... meh

Classic Japanese humor, hectic and forced. all characters save the MC lack common sense or are the sublimation of one stereotype or other. I think I found it funny for the first anime I ever watched with the formula and couldn't stand it ever after since then, once the novelty was gone its just Annoying!
It's not terrible and had a few laughs but that's about it. If having an MC that might go through incredibly tedious situations and do things he doesn't want to do just because he's too polite or ashamed to decline someone's demand or make them unconformable in the slightest is your idea of fun then by all means read this. If you find that notion tedious in itself then avoid this.
The only character I found interesting was Eliza and there were a few funny moments related to her, her and the MC's relation is the only thing keeping mi interested here, the rest of the chars were just obnoxious or bland. At least there is no harem (yet at least).

Pacing is too fast, characters are very flat, waifu boring as hell, and MC is just a Gary stu that everyone likes for some reason only God knows what.

Even Kenja no Mago, which was my least favourite, is better than this. At least that had a decent plot, and an interesting MC power. This MC is just good at everything for no reason at all. You wanna read an Otome manga, I recommend Destruction Flag Otome.

The only upside to this manga/novel is the art.
