Honestly I went into reading with an open mind because I've been reading a lot of manga and manhwa lately and it did start ok and had a decent pace but after chapter 12, it was like a race to get to the end because I'm guessing it was cancelled. Although it does say complete on this page, there is no way that was the end they had prepared from the beginning. The MC was a decent character up until that point in chapter 12 also, then he is unnecessarily made to seem like an anti-hero which just comes off as unnatural and is for basically no reason. And the MC even acknowledges it immediately too. Then we have the ending which was obviously rushed and probably done in the hopes that the manga would get picked up by another publisher. It was left way too open ended with too many loose ends in the hopes of being able to continue it but at this point, it's not even worth reading again. It wasn't all bad though and it had a couple characters that I enjoyed and had a few aspects of the story that I thought were decent and could have been good if flushed out and handled properly. Like the Grimoire that gave the MC an ability that I myself have never seen before but I don't have the greatest frame of reference, considering I've only been watching anime since the beginning of the pandemic and reading manga is an even more recent hobby.
Some manga have more of a slow burn with a build up to a major event that take anywhere from 70 to 100 chapters and sometimes more. I think this manga had that type of story that was ment to have a somewhat slow burn where the MC kept slipping into the "darkness" through his own perception of his actions until it was just festering and it clearly couldn't be contained any longer. I think it should have went a similar route that JJK went with it kinda like with Yuji and Sukuna. Where Sukuna just pokes and prods Yuji from the inside all day everyday until he just cracks, then just like water it just keeps expanding and filling with water aka trauma and pain. Maybe with more time and more chapters the story might have been more interesting and more cohesive than what it turned out as. I dunno, that's just my opinion lol. Check it out if you want, it's short and can be read in a couple hours so it doesn't take up too much time but if the story intrigues you then I suggest to check out the light novel that this manga is based on.

The way they ended the manga version is just completely horrible.
Forced timeskip that explains nothing like that just to leave you confused and all. Probably a more forceful approach to push people to buy the novels.
Ended up being like this: Game Start, Tutorial Complete, First Area Complete, Second Area Complete, Skip Everything Else That Happens and Proceed Straight to Before Final Boss Fight, End Game Before Final Boss Fight.
Worse than even Negima's ending.
All manga adaptions of novels are basically big ads to get people to start buying the novels, but this feels even more so and in the very negative way.
