In a devastated post-apocalyptic future, Earth is a desolate wasteland. Humanity’s only remaining strongholds are mobile fortress cities called Plantations, defended by giant robots known as FRANXX, who drive back the massive predatory Klaxosaurs that now roam the land. Failed pilot Hiro would be out there fighting them if he hadn’t screwed it all up. But a chance encounter with a mysterious horned girl is about to change the course of his life - and his destiny piloting the FRANXX.

Now, this manga has a To Love-RU vibe, but story is good. I haven't started watching the anime yet, i think that's why i liked this.

The anime already airing with just a single manga volume of the story is a great impression in the sense that I see high chance for the anime being the complete experience, and not just "There's this to the story. For more and this read the manga"; Marketing for the manga.
Is there any info on whether they intend for this anime to be the whole story?
Is it even the case that it's a manga-to-anime? Is it actually anime-to-manga so I'm confusing that?
