Below are some old notes I took while reading but I still agree with them after powering through ch35-50. Ending didn’t add anything for me. I do respect that the author went to a pottery studio to do her research for this story, it absolutely shows.
From being really excited to falling out of love towards the end (ch32) the pacing is a little off most of the time, a little rushed. Writing was not really convincing to me, the part where the ex is introduced was very strange. His reasoning for his actions, just in general seemed over the top ridiculous, just lacking basic common sense. Even though so many things are happening I felt the story is overall sort of oddly emotionless. Characters are older but acted more like people in their early 20s. Beginning was so cute and I’m enjoying but it just feels off, still worth a read it is quite different from other comics.
Update; Okay the characters are so wishy-washy, a big issue was I felt the start was setting up for a slow burn, but they just immediately like each other, conflicts come and go and feel superficial, it just sort of lost me after that point. Really feels like I’m reading a teen romcom. Male lead is very immature, female lead is even more immature and also insecure, but at the speed their relationship went it feels like these issues should already have been addressed in some way. They don’t really communicate.
Very much enjoyed the ceramics aspect of the story, there were some cool perspectives on art. Pacing is not great, but story is still enjoyable, I just lost interest in the characters fairly early on.
