"A Story About Treating a Female Knight Who Has Never Been Treated as a Woman as a Woman" is really simple, episodic in nature, and doesn't try to bite off more than it can chew. I liked this romcom, at first. The story follows a pathetic hopelessly in love abs-obsessed mage/wizard named Fooly Dent and a battle-hardened scarred emotionally-inept aloof muscular knight named Leo Cornelia.

Making my way through this manga I found the cast of characters eventually increases, most of which being female, and the story ends up getting crazier and turning into a harem with nearly every female character being head over heels for Fooly after their first or second encounter with him. It gets strange. Some censored tentacle action even occurs in chapter 63. Fooly parodies Dragon Ball Z and turns into a super saiyan from touching Leo's abs on more than one occasion. A few chapters are dedicated to genderbending lesbian fetish what-if scenarios. It's around the time these chapters arrive that my brain really starts to wonder how or why this manga got so insane and contemplating if the writer just gave up and went off the wall with throwing any remaining ideas at the story that hadn't been tried before for the sake of shock comedy. It's inoffensive at best but at worst it makes me think "just get on with it". Many situations at this point are also repeats of what already happened previously, and it makes me think, "didn't Leo already come to this conclusion about Fooly earlier?" or "why are we rehashing this same plot point? Haven't I seen this before? Are they still oblivious to each other?" Much of it seems like filler like its buying time to pad out the length here just to drag out the manga's publication instead of continuing within a natural progression. Introduce a new one-off character, Leo gets jealous over the littlest of things for the 20th time, fight demon number 49 but this time it has a new ability™, have Leo be thrice reassured that Leo actually isn't kidding when he says he loves her, have villain berate the leads for being oblivious to their feelings, etc. Other stories waste no time using all of its content spent with every panel or line given a purpose within a story. This manga is a comedy, yes, so story takes more of a backseat, but you could probably skip 15 chapters and feel like not a day has progressed.

It was good initially, but lost its way and took a turn down toward becoming unfocused and repetitious and its characters nearly flanderize themselves into becoming one-note satirical simpletons in the most perplexing of situations. I stopped reading near the middle of the manga's length.

Short Chapters and Random Pace

In all I actually rather like this series.
It starts off mostly focused on the premise with a protagonist in love with abs and spends the rest of the runtime showing gags with the main leads or introducing a quirky extended cast, to react or otherwise encourage the main duo.

Despite some moving moments I never felt they really capitalised on thei relationship as a couple, mostly leaving it as a future goal.

My thoughts after rereading

Im realizing that while the art style is so good, the plot is underwhelming, like the characters fall into tropes, such as tsundere, guy who dives headfirst into stuff like love and shit, like these things are more generic than what i had remeber

Regardless i finished my rereading, its still pretty good, the only problem i have is near the end, as the ending 3 chapters were not as satisfying as what i had wanted, while

they got together, i was hoping for some more action on the aftermath and there were some moments in the story where i was wondering why would they include this in the story if they are not meant to be anything but something to pad out some of the manga, for example the ! body possession .

Lastly the

the demon lord being the femc from another world was very out of place and felt very weird

Regardless if you do like abs and women who are stornger than men but are still cute. Read this manga

My favorite moments were when she was jelous as the face she would make was so cute

A Charming and Fun Story

It's not for kids, but it's pretty wholesome, all things considered.

At one point a succubus tries to seduce the male lead, but due to his love of the female lead being so over the top, he doesn't fall for it and the succubus, crying at how dedicated he is, tells the female lead to hurry up and marry him.

I enjoyed it.
