I can't see why a 27-30 year-old would fall in love with a 17 Year old. I mean sure he'll turn 18 but it doesn't change that fact. Some would use the word pedophile but I've heard over and over again that's not the correct term. Whatever the proper term is it's exactly that. If the female lead was 18-20 it would be more understandable because that's barely an adult but her falling for him would make more sense.

Now I'm not saying fiction isn't allowed to be fiction but it's too odd when so much pressure is put on a adult that depends solely on a teenagers kindness and it turns into affection out of desperation? The author could have at least made him 18 already when she did fall for him. Otherwise it's a bit creepy.
I don't think it's taken seriously because he's a guy but had it been the other way around.

Over all the story is pretty good if you like drama.
I guess you could ignore their relationship a bit here and there. It's only saving grace is that the female lead never forces herself on the male lead and is actually willing to wait. Can't say the same for male lead though . He wants her as soon as possible.
Also despite starting out with a trash personality, in a tsundere kind of way. We learn that he is nicer than he wants to admit and just gives in to that part of himself but he still keeps his snarky side.

I loved the early Female Lead divorce and Male Lead discovering his friends were shitty arcs, but it started to get super annoying on the Obsessive Woman From Highschool arc. It was way too dramatic and exaggerated, with the It is manga after all, but not gonna lie, I expected a more realistic story.

As if having all kinds of people in FL and Second Male Lead's lives disrupting FL and Male Lead's relationship not enough, comes another rich, self-centered, narcissistic dude with super questionable approach. Classic shoujo/josei romance manga trope... which should stop already to be quite honest.

I don't know if I can handle another rich dude falling in love with the FL. And handling it poorly and NOT endearingly.

Was able to buy the first 5 volumes translated in English for the Singapore/SEA market! The premise of this series is a bit unbelievable/intense/unrealistic, but it gets so amazing from there. I love alllll the characters (except for maybe 2 shady ones later on?) hahaha
The art is also just beautiful from the detail in facial expressions to Issei's casual but cool fashion. There is a TON of character development. Cheering you on, Issei :3
As a note I am not bothered by age gaps in fiction. That is probably still a turn-off for some but I'd recommend giving this one a chance!

If you have liked Shiwasu Yukis "Takane to Hana", you'll also like this one and vice versa. Contrary to what a few commentators said, the age gap works because the FL is almost as immature as the ML. They both grow with each other though and their chemistry is perfect honestly. The story itself is pretty interesting but a few too many dramatic arcs. The author doesn't leave any loose threads though so it resolves nicely.

Honestly it couldn't keep my attention, I felt like I was forcing myself to read. Not liking how ml is still a minor and the author seems to start the romantic developments already, but I'll give it a benefit of doubt. Might come back later to give a proper rating.

EDIT; Nvrmnd, fck you guys who think this isn't pedo attitude and fck this story. Mangas and their fcking obsession with romanticizing pedophilia and grooming. Ml is a child and he also behaves like a child understandably. Immature and bratty, typical of a rich kid. But why is the female lead also acting like a child. She's nearing her 30s, where is her maturity? And oh also morals, because she literally falls in love with a 17 year old, a minor boy. Even at 18 years old, there's something so creepy and predatory about a literal almost 30 year old falling for someone younger than 20. . The worst part is because this is from Hayame's pov, she's not seen as predatory as the other pedophilic mangas out there because the author is romanticizing a predator's pov. Whereas, usually in pedophilic mangas the mc is the fl who is the under-aged one, so it's from the victim's pov. It's so fcking gross because both the ml and fl's maturity levels are basically the same (cuz they're both fcking immature) and ml has the upper hand, so it actually makes this seem like an ok thing, when it clearly is not. Also common sense WHO?? Even without bringing up the pedophilia, this story is a shitshow, with THE most boring and cliche plot.

My gosh this story was fricking amazing with amazing female characters and amazing male characters. Top-tier romance that I will never ever fricking forget

Aaaahhh i fell in love with these characters!! Tho getting together took time, but the end was so much sweeter!! In the side stories we saw forming of more couples and i loooved those too!! Still the cutest were the main. All went tru much but im glad all got resolved well. Thank you mangaka-san T_T

...for introducing me to this gem. This was so incredibly wonderful that I'm dying a bit. The perfect amount of comedy plus romance plus drama. Adorable flipping couple. Addicting as heck. Fantastic ending. I loved this so dang much. This was so awesome.

aahhhhhh the beginning was actually VERY VERY gripping (and the side stories were super cute) 10/10. but....

well, after a while, there too many dramas, worries, misunderstandings (which is not my cup of tea); And too many ...guys In short, i feel like the series lost its beginning uniqueness and dynamic --- it falls into the cliché of "a tsundere pursuing an older lady with a past"

The most interesting character, also whom i like the best, is that crazy woman who obsessed with the older brother. i think she's terrible as a person but is unique as a character. the story of her and female lead's ex husband makes me think twice... for one minute, i even sympathize with the ex husband - "cheating is not as bad as killing someone, right?" i hope they can get their shit together in their next life haha.

also, i ship the 35 year old uncle with the cute lady tooooo- their characters are witty and full of amazement...

anyways, issei is cute. the dynamic in issei and hayame's relationship is amazing and lovely. wish they end up happily soon. also, i like issei's friend too haha.

although this not really fits my cup of tea, this is a very very WELL WRITTEN series (good job author), you should read ittttt! Highly reccomended!!
