to the previous comment, idk how far they read but he definitely does not treat her like trash. even in the beginning the word trash is a bit extreme. i loved how the female is incredibly straight forward with her feelings and the guy is the one who doesn't know how to act. plus I love how because the female is so straightforward I, as a reader, don't feel afraid of rejection, cause she has laid it all out at the get go

Is this as good as the author's previous work? No not by a long shot.
The story is somewhat empty, the resolution is a bit unclean and clumsy, the additional cast is not refined enough.
The reason I am comparing this to House of the Sun is that the characters are clearly inspired from there and share very similar traits to the main characters there and even some points of conflict are almost copy pasted.
The reason it doesn't work as well is that it lacks the build-up with the involved parties.
However if you like having well constructed main characters with clear goals and interesting quirks then this one is for you.

It's just a bit unfortunate that their prior work is just better in every way.

Great main lead characters aside from that the side characters have pretty much zero development or does anything worth interesting reading.

Leaving aside the two main leads, who by the way have very good personality are always shown that they have to try their hardest to get a approval from their parents and the author is really keen on making this look like a positive thing. Female lead's father was an stubborn old man. He arranged marriage of daughter with someone she doesn't want to be in a relationship with and when she opposed it he stopped having a normal conversation with her for years. The main leads are such a pitiable characters. They are not stubborn, do bad stuff like people do in their age group and try their hardest in whatever they want to accomplish. It's a shame that people like two have parents like them who are selfish to the core and only can think what's best for themselves.

It's okay I guess, but can shoujo stop with the trope of "Male lead is horrible to the female MC for no reason and female MC is totally okay with being treated like trash for no reason." It makes no sense and it's annoying. This is a recent manga so it can't even use age as an excuse.
