Description
From Kedama Scans:

Singer-songwriter, Tetsuta, became unable to sing because of throat surgery, a step before his major debut. After turning down his friend who asked him to compose a song, he goes to the sea and meets Nagi, a young man who runs a restaurant with his father. This mysterious youth invites Tetsuta to their restaurant and listens to his troubles, which ended with him staying the night. Tetsuta hears Nagi’s singing voice and receives an electrifying impact from within his body. For the first time in his life, he wants someone else to sing the songs he composed.

I can't even express how beautiful both the story and the art are. I'm reeling. Just wow. A favorite for sure.

I must be a masochist, my heart was just torn into shreds and I want to dive into more of this mangaka's works. But every single aspect of it was so beautiful!! I'm crying every time I think about it.

The most impressive aspect of this manga for me was the unconventional art style for sure; it's very expressive with a touch of surrealism added, which helps to illustrate a wide range of emotions in each drawing and could burst with explosive power when need be. I can see some of Est Em's influence in the style.

Now the story itself isn't bad and there were some quite touching moments, but as far as the twist goes I can't say it was handled as smoothly as possible. I don't have a problem with the plot and I feel like a more skilled author could've definitely made it work better and eased readers into the ending more successfully; I just don't think that was the case this time. A good twist can only occur thanks to a combination of different factors, and simply having an unexpected event to come out of left field without proper measures to handle it is not enough to make a great twist. Having said that, the rest of the story is again pretty decent in its own right and there's still a certain amount of entertainment value to it.
