I dunno why, but I simply love this one! And I've read plenty comix, still, I love it lol!! But it seems this is the type manga people love to hate, just as DB or any other hyped manga (though imo Naruto is by far greater than DB! No offence). And I don't think Naruto is the type of comic you either love or hate. Try it (you probably have though) and judge yourself... All i've just typed proves this manga is good. When something is good, there is always lots of people who hate it lol!! Don't take this too seriously though...

btw... The manga is better than the anime. And the anime is better than the movies.

I'm almost positive that Part Two was 2 1/2 years later. I'll check that later. Anyway, Naruto is a good manga, especially in the beginning, with Zabuza and all. I would rate the beginning a ten, except for chapter two, which rather uselessly introduced a useless character, Konohomaru. The Zabuza arc was definitely beautiful and the greatest arc. Although after the Zabuza arc, Naruto started going downhill, it's popularity increased (surprisingly). I like many of the characters in Naruto, with the exception of Naruto, the main character (I have this same problem with One Piece...I hate Luffy for some reason). I think that Naruto has many great moments, despite it was going downhill before. For example, the introduction of Akatsuki was great, since hopefully, that was used for foreshadowing in later chapters. Part Two is great, especially since one thing that I think is great occurs: Naruto becomes a bit more mature...although still not mature enough sadly. One thing though...I think that the plot is moving a bit too slowly. It's already been like 80 chapters and not much has happened. Hopefully, Tobi will be the one who slows down Akatsuki, advancing the plot at a faster rate. But then we have Orochimaru. Seriously, I have a feeling that Naruto may have more chapters than Dragonball Z and One Piece (although One Piece continuously introduces new enemies like Dragonball Z does so One Piece's ending chapter may also be unpredictable. Anyway, Naruto is still a good manga. It was the one that got me into fansubs and scanslations after all!

Nothing to add! great manga, why complain?

like i said, naruto was great until kishimoto-san decided to make the 4 yrs later arc. the first part was far more interesting than the other one. now, it seems to me that he's taking too much time to develop his plotline by making long and useless fights (10 chapters O_o) no offense to sasuke fans, but i find him completely annoying with his ridiculous angst and he seems so pathetic with his desire to become strong. it was pretty obvious he joins orochimaru later on, because of his "loner" attitude and the fact that he would do anything to be powerful. the story would have been better if he died when he fought against naruto before joining the "dark side". come to think of it, nobody dies in naruto, except some bad guys. of all the people, kishimoto-san has to kill my only fav character, zabuza momochi! (but at least he died in a beautiful way) the best arcs are zabuza's and gaara's, because the antagonists and their past are more realistic and makes more sense than the others.

Overall, it's really good. But it's kinda like a rollercoaster. Sometimes it's really fast and fun, but sometimes it kinda stalls for a bit. No real reason to hate it.

This is simply the best shonen jump has to offer.

Naruto's pretty good and all but I haven't seen alot of fighting after the save gaara arc, I hate the fact that the chapters come once a week it's a pain in the butt however my favourite mangas have always been Slam Dunk and BECK. D.Grayman finally has finally gotten a good translator so I'm reading that again, anyways when the fighting comes back to Naruto I can really enjoy this I like did before.

nice plot, characterdevelopment but sometimes it reminds me at dbz - he (naruto the maincharacter) got a new technique that can beat all others and then a boss fight is going on and he always use that supertechnique to finish him, kind of boring sometimes...but the fight inbetween is much better and makes you wait for every next chapter!!!
in addtion its funny and has a nice universum!

Naruto is a good manga but I think it's not as good as other people say.
I would say that it is interesting (I'm talking about the scenario) but first, I HATE Naruto !
He's the kind of main character that pisses me.
He's all talk and unskilled.
The only strengh he has, is given by Kyubi.
I thought Sasuke was cool but lately, his desire of revenging just make him being a fool in my opinion (I don't speak of his last apparitions : they made him looked cooler)
I would say that the great characters are : Gaara, Rock Lee, Gai and... Itachi of course.
