I want to get every 'bad' thing out of the way before properly commenting on the series. This doesn't have anything to do with the manga itself but more with it's 'ranking' on this site. This is one of the top ~20 series of this site based on ratings, and I'm sorry to say this isn't THAT good, it's MASSIVELY overrated. Also, some of the other reviews assess this as realistic? NO, everyone is entitled to their opinion and their impressions will be shaped by their experiences and I respect that, BUT this is NOT realistic in the SLIGHTEST. Not even the most 'soft', 'fluffy', sensitive gay man on this WHOLE planet earth acts this way, highschooler or not, the MCs have more in common with teen girls than anything else. It's more funny than anything, their actions and thoughts had me laughing a lot, believe me, NO man (that I've met) acts this way, regardless of their sexual preferences (a common theme among BL manga written by female mangaka, unrealistic men). Now moving on to the proper review. It was simply fine, doesn't overstay it's welcome, it isn't sappy, no excessive unnecessary drama/characters, nothing that makes you want to drop it, but it doesn't grab you either. I found myself reading it out of curiosity more than anything else, It never moved me, made me cry, or say "Wow what a beautiful X"... It simply moves along with the story, and ends. The art fits the story, but I didn't like it very much, it made the "beaufitul" MCs actually seem ugly. I view it as a unintentional comedy more than anything, you won't hate it, but won't love it either.

I really enjoyed this manga from start to finish. There was so much emotion and excitement packed into the short 7 days, as promised. I was definitely left wanting more at the end, but completely satisfied. Considering how quickly everything transpired, the characters got a good amount of development. I loved the depiction of them quickly learning more about the other person, and unexpectedly finding themselves loving the other. Moreover, it was refreshing to see them depicted as equals--neither one was more manly or popular, and there weren't really any overused stereotypes making it boring, besides the fact that everyone is drop dead gorgeous.

My only qualm with the story was that the tension/problems presented in the plot seemed a little over used. Tension was mostly one sided, and I would have liked to see some variety in the hang ups/snags.There was also a little 'same face syndrome' but I'm not that bothered by it.

All in all, I really recommend this as a quick read, and I see myself coming back to read it again in the future because of how cute and enjoyable it was.

Simple, melodramatic, pretty cute.

This is one of the most overrated BL manga in existence that I've ever been aware of. I get that the ~cute innocent heart-flutting~ school boy romance theme is a huge crowd pleasure by default, but people really gotta stop being so critically lenient with anything and everything as long as it's non-controversial whether in content or in appearance, and surprise-surprise this series is both. The story is okay but no where near the masterpiece it's hailed so much to be, characterisation is generic and honestly quite outdated with all the stupid misunderstanding tropes, the narrative is muddled and really unclear at times due to very abrupt and awkward scene transitions, though that last part is partly the fault of the illustrator too, and the confusing low-quality fan translation didn't help. Only the first two chapters could be considered decent, the rest to follow ranged from average at best to meh at worst.

I remember being skeptic towards BL mangas as for me it was all about uke-ish ukes and seme-ish semes. And I did not want it in my first BL manga. I wanted to choose carefully, so I won't get disappointed and end my BL adventure after just one title.
I choose Seven Days as it was one of the few accessible in my language. I bought two volumes at once, thinking "if I don't like it, maybe I'll just sell it as a set or something."
Well, I fell in love instantly. It was a short, but lovely story. What I loved was that I got exactly what I wanted. Two main characters were not stereotypical uke and seme, maybe because of lack of yaoi content. And they were both lovable. You can say "they had default personalities," but I would say "author took typical personality models and made them something different." I just loved everything about the two of them; their relationship was absolutely the cutest. Background characters got too little time, what is understandable when it comes to short series, but still - they were likable for me (speaking about Yuzuru friends of course).
I would especially recommend it for people like me, who want to start their BL adventure but don't now where and don't want to get disappointed.

I JUST CAN'T EXPLAIN HOW GOOD THIS MANGA IS. THO IF LEFT US A LOT OF UNANSWERED QUESTIONS, IT STILL GIVES YOU A FEELING OF SATISFACTION.
I JUST LOVE HOW CALM THIS MANGA IS. LIKE, HONESTLY. THE CHARACTERS AREN'T FORCEFUL AND STUPID. THEY'RE LIKE BASED ON REAL PEOPLE WITH REAL FEELINGS AND CONSCIOUSNESS. IT'S NOT THOSE MELODRAMATIC MANGAS THAT WOULD OVEREACT TO LITTLE ACTIONS ON THE CHARACTER.

I like the art, and the story was decent. If you don't take it too seriously its a nice read. It kind of reminds me of shoujo manga because the characters were pretty cliche, there was unnecessary drama, and the main characters fell in love in a very short time frame. However, I liked how she wrote Shino's personality (very headstrong and boyish despite his pretty face), and the art was great so I feel like its a decent read.

Looking for fluffy, realistic shounen ai? This is the manga for you.
It was so sweet, and the characters were realistic enough. I fell in love with it. So beautiful.

This story is satisfying, with decent art. The storytelling is super lacking, however, and don't expect to be astonished, because everything is cliched and predictable. There's never really suspense as to the relationship, because despite the premise, the author is too quick to kill off the tension by assuring us of the feelings of both parties. Still worth a read, but not the life changer it promised to be.

While I am rarely completely enamored with short stories, this is one that I love to read again and again. It has a surprising level of depth and character development while progressing through the stages of the relationship. I can actually feel the emotions coming from this manga and find myself truly engaged in the characters' progress. A fantasticly written/drawn manga and a must read.
