Heptagon is a great story that immediately grabs the reader's attention. The quick pace and short length combine to make it flow seamlessly while also trimming off the excess fat (no repetition, silly gimmicks, etc.). It is also very easy to relate to because it deals with family matters, relationships, and the past regrets that one wishes to change. I highly recommend Heptagon to anyone looking for a good read.

honestly, i was really surprise with this manga. the story is so meaningful and has a lot of depth. i have to say that this is one of those manga (which come far in between) that you will learn so much about. i really 100% recommend it.

reread worthy

This is the kind of manga that gets better, the more you reread it. Like wintermelon mentioned, I think the quote, "Don't think that the crying one is always right!" holds true really well and I keep rereading this manga because I'm occasionally reminded this quote whenever I read other manga with the similar situation.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
Not sure if this even is a spoiler, but just in case.
At my first read, the whole time travel dynamic executed in this manga bothered me. Most stories I've read thus far that dealt with time travel and changing the past, the conclusion tends to be that nothing gets changed or that something goes horribly wrong and then undo everything that was changed and the protagonist learns that it's best to not change the past and face their present and look to the future. However this story does change the past and for the better rather than for the worst. Nana manages to regain her old self and she prevents Hiraoka from being killed.

I was hoping that Nana going back to the past was more of a flashback instead of something supernatural like time travel and that her situation didn't change after waking up from the past (i.e. Hiraoka remained dead) because the fact that the miracle did happen undermines her own personal growth as she regains her true self. The situation would still be the same in the end because Nana herself thought it was just a dream, but she wouldn' t meet Hiraoka in the end because he did die and he can't come back to life. I just think that it's more natural that way and more realistic.

Well I'm just asking for too much and I like Nana and Hiraoka, so I'm glad she saved him and they meet again.

With that being said, this story is more about the journey rather than the ending.

Perfect.
This word doesn't give the manga enough credit.
I adore the art: very realistic, detailed and simply beautiful!
The plot is exciting, sweet, something we can all relate to (to a certain extent).
The storytelling and the art style matches well.

The main character isn't as weak as i thought she was, its very very good how she develops (yes, develop within 5 chapters biggrin biggrin biggrin )

The repeated phrase --
"Dont think that the crying one is always right!"
Won't you agree that it is very true? smile
...it is really cool how there are so much that I can relate to.
There is a lot of symbolism as well, so other than the drama filled moments - it is also a thoughful manga...

Ha! xD
Definitely one of my favourites in this genre.
How rare can a manga be so good? The art and the plot and the style; it all works!
Though the only mark off is due to the ending - it does not give me a feeling of accomplishment and finishing....but ah well bigrazz

I've read it about five times.
It'd be cool if you were able to travel to the past, to your old self. But we can't and this story make you wonder how much you can change in your present. And to rethink about yourself and who did you use to be.
Love the last scene: in the elevator. I didn't get it the first time. Even if there is a love story, there is more about the identity

There's good foreshadowing and character development within this manga. I also enjoyed how everything fits perfectly and has a nice symbolism regarding the heptagon and the number 7. If you speed read it will be confusing, but if you take your time you will understand it. It isn't long, but has enough to give you a nice and sweet story. Recommended

I highly recommend this manga.
It's short and a bit confusing (makes more sense after reading again) but the message is endearing.
It just makes me want to cry. Haha.
It's a good re-read too.

The twists were pretty interesting and so was the "love story". Though, I'd say that Harukana Machi-e was way superior to this, in terms of depth and maturity. Heptagon does hold quite a bit of weight, though.

Maybe what made this manga so good was the cliffhangers lasting months of anticipation. It reminds me of a one shot, 1/6000 Honesty. It is very well made with beautiful artistry and the story is very nice. THe time travel is done exceptionally well and it's very easy to bond with the main character. The ending... I loved the ending. I thought something else was going to happen. OMG... SO GOOD!!!

I just love this manga. It's an interesting supernatural time travel kinda story where the protagonist was given a second chance to redo or find the true reason of why she's gone back to the past and save the guy that she didn't know she was in love with until it was to late. I like the part in the end when they were in an awkward moment in the elevator and the guy suddenly said, "I have your hat.." lolx.
