This is a special little series that is better than most of the other similar series that have been cropping up (romantic-comedy-manga-with-an-office-setting-and-short-chapters-published-on -Pivix seems to be a budding genre.)
What's different about this series is the original, well-written characters. They're not the usual stereotypes. The 'senpai' (who I guess normally would be a hot-but-emotionally-distant bishie) is a loud-mothed, passionate guy who looks a hell of a lot more like a real guy his age than most manga characters. The 'kouhai' is not weak, pathetic, or overly cutesy, She's actually competent at her job! (a rare thing for women in the world of manga.) The plot avoids stereotypical events as well. There's an age gap between them, but it's not relentlessly played for melodrama. Many of the romantic gestures between them manage to be original and special, instead of relying on worn-out events we've seen over-and-over. I was smiling through every chapter.
