When you don't even know the name of ML

The one thing I remember the most in this is the FL name, "Adel" "Adelaide" her name is sprinkled in the conversations, then I stopped for a moment and asked myself, "who was she engaged to again?" and realized that I don't know the Duke's name because Adel has always just called him that, Duke. So I just remembered them as Adel and Duke White.
(his last name aka the household name appears more often than his name)
The ML doesn't even show what an actual Duke or a noble can actually do, being pushed to a corner just because of the rumor with the saint and that's it, you will barely see his Duke aspect in the story.
The prince is more interesting of a character.
Nothing about Adel's past life came in handy to deal with the story, I even forgot she was originally from a different world. It was just a ploy to get her to the capital and meet the Duke while she tryna see who the black haired woman is.
I do enjoy the sweet moments but some details are lacking.
Oh!! the art is such an eye candy

When Adel was supposedly poisoned the nobles gather and discuss the issue and one minor character addressed him as Duke, and I was like "oh right you're a Duke, you don't seem like it even to this chapter". He's cute yeah but nothing about him is elegant or powerful as you'd expect of his position but no all his problem is all about his love for Adel, the premise of kicking out the saint was too easy that it's just weird how they couldn't kick her out even before Adel's appearance, I mean the prince managed to kick her out from the palace why don't you just do it as well, she was not even a proper saint at that time, she was just a woman who appeared out of nowhere
The prince is more interesting of a character.

When the villainess is more pitiful than the heroine

The summary made me think that MC was going to use her knowledge from her previous life as a designer (got me excited), but the story is actually more common than my expectation. Why would mention MC’s job/skill if it’s not going to be used in the story?
I love MC’s positivity and that she carried herself well with the opposite sex, not getting nervous or embarrassed for every little thing. She could also stand her ground facing the villain, the cougar woman. My criticism for this series is that the author make it hard to sympathize with the MC than the villain. The wretched villainess is someone who had had a hard upbringing, did everything she could to achieve success, only to fall from popularity because of her scandal was leaked (prostitution, celebrities, and south korea is a public secret that everyone knows). In her desperation, she attempted suicide only to end up in another world. All alone, she tried to survive there, using whatever means. Meanwhile, the MC shoved her way into the problem just because she thought it was exciting, troubled her family who loved her so much. Yeah, we know the engagement wouldn’t get annulled in the end and they would live happily ever after, but when she decided to enter the agreement as the duke’s fiancee for her own amusement, she understood the engagement would be annulled later on. Imagine how broken-hearted her family who cherished her so much if such thing did happen. So, is it wrong to say that MC is a spoiled and mischievous person? The Duke is just a loser who can’t handle a single woman. The prince would be a better ML, seeing that both the prince and MC are mischievous. Their romance and interactions would be more interesting.
And this is me being nit-picky, the MC has lived in that world for 17 years and she is still speaking in terms nobody there understand?? Covering it as slank words from the countryside.
That’s all I want to say. I’ve only read about 15 chapters and probably wouldn’t read more as I pity the villainess more than the MC... Not a good thing since this is not the “I’m the villainess” (of otome game) but actually the MC of the story.

As others say, the MC is a great char and she's what makes the story interesting, unfortunately, the rest of the characters are not nearly close as polished and at the best of times, the Duke and Prince (the 2 main support chars) seam more high-school kids worried about the prom than nobles that carry the weight of the country in their shoulders. While the MC is mostly smart, thinks ahead, doesn't take things at face value and can at times be decisive, the other chars are moved by pettiness or jealousy, soon forget their position, expose their thoughts and standing at the slightest provocation, they even believe and turn like pancakes at a little acting by the villainess (nobles are groomed to play at words and give little importance to them), and so on. The main weak point in the story imo is the villainess, she's just badly thought out. In the first place, she has no power, no etiquete, no education, no backing (not really, not till later and it's flimsy at best) and she's not even smart, yet all turns around her to ridiculous extremes and all the story thus makes little sense, yeah, there is a rumor going about of her and the Duke, that's all she has going for her and the author makes a mountain out of that ant-hill. Furthermore, Susan gets marriage proposals from many nobles, most likely at least some of high nobility, aka marquess, yet she is set on the Duke which she has no chance of getting and has to get her hands dirty to even try while risking all she has, including her life, why would she be so pent up? she's presented as manipulative and cunning yet is not able to see that marrying another Noble is easier and almost as good as marrying the Duke? Doubtful, she has no reason to be so obsessed unless you consider conceited and whimsical as reasons... they are, certainly, bad reasons of a boring character.
Overall, it's entertaining but lacks maturity for the theme it chose imo, also, the art is very good and dialogues are well played for the most part thou a bit base at times. In any case, it's better than some other similar manhwas with the exception of maybe "The duke's daughter accomplishments" and "I belong to house Costielo" (I think those were the names), oh there's also "Empress from another world", the Dukes... and Empress... stories are not exactly the same but have overall similar settings.

at one point in the plot, the MC has a contract of the villainess blackmailing the church in her hands, along two brigands that tried to kidnap her on the orders of the villainess, whom of course serve as witnesses and finally, the maid that instigated the rumors of the Duke and the villainess having an affair, with all that in hand they decide to do nothing as to dissipate the rumors first... talk about weak justification

Adelaide sure is cunning and brave, perfect to fight against her cunning rival, that fake saint. Tsk. Scheming people. There's no harem so if you're one of those who don't like reverse harem or any kind of harem of any type then this is just right for you. The Duke is sweet.

Seriously, this wreck me like a heart attack with its extremely lovely story and characters. The female lead is amazingly smart and adorable. The male lead is also of my personal preference. Support characters are also well-made. And I love the relationship they have. And the best thing to have alongside such great characters is certainly the holy EYE CANDY ART STYLE. Sure the Duke made me blush once or twice.
I have read until chapter 33 at the moment and I love every bit of the manhwa. 10/10 recommended.
