More complex than it seems

This is a manhua adapted from the Chinese light novel. The original Chinese light novel is complete, but the manhua (with chapter 145 currently available raw) is still quite far from being near the end.

TL;DR
- Not a simple OP reincarnation story; past intertwined with present, MC not that OP
- Complex MC and plot
- Beautiful art similar to manga (like a coloured manga read left to right)
- 9/10 but there are still things to complain about

Without significant spoilers and broadly, this is a story about a reincarnator:
- Briefly running a weapon shop at the beginning of the story
- Travelling (adventuring)
- Meeting new girls, but this is not the focus of the plot; I want to mention this because it is in the harem genre, but with very little romance, at least for now (that's still harem, right..?)
- Doing administrative work / directing a war (only for a portion of the story)
- Ultimately resisting and fighting against a force (a person, really) that wants to bring destruction to the world

The reincarnation plays a role in the story. The main character's past world and his current fantasy world are linked by the force/person that wants destruction. And the main character's past self plays a significant role in the plot.
All this to say that this is not the typical reincarnation story but quite a complex one.

So PZcolo is unfortunately mistaken in his comment; this is not a simple overpowered reincarnation story. And the characters are not as plain as they seem. The main character is admittedly very powerful, but still faces many difficulties and people whom he repeatedly fail to defeat. And the distinction yet the link between the main character's tragic past self and his current self makes him ever so interesting.

(About the art)
The art of this manhua is beautiful, and a lot better than the art of other typical manhuas (imo). It gets better as the story progresses.
The style is more similar to mangas than manhuas; kind of like a coloured manga read left to right. This (again, imo) makes it better at conveying what it is trying to convey.
Of course, many details are left out when compared to the light novel. And although the details are mostly boring or trivial, it does take away a certain... dramatic and emotional effect.

So now that the objective things are said, a little bit about the more subjective side and the personal complaints.

I found the manhua before the light novel, and the manhua left me on a cliffhanger ._. . So I looked around and discovered that the original Chinese light novel was already completed. I speak Chinese, so I read it.
But I have to admit, I dropped the book at volume 9 (of 17).

This is because:
- I could broadly see how the plot was going to progress
- And the story was getting too dense and heavy
- The mixture of these two made me feel uneasy
I wrote about this (and the depth of the story) in more details on the light novel page, but this doesn't really concern the manhua

And this is because:
- The plot progression is much less obvious in the manhua
- And the manhua, unsurprisingly, is much lighter to read than the novel (light novel-- haha), but equally as complex and deep; this, I think is because of the omission of the novel's details mentioned above (whether that be a good or bad thing)

So I will probably pick up the manhua again when it will be completed later on, instead of the novel. (It'll be a long wait..)

And I'd say overall, the manhua is a solid 9/10.

In spite of that, I still have a few complaints:
- Some minor characters and their fate just get ignored or forgotten; this is very annoying to me personally, but being objective, this really is that big of a deal, because these characters really are minor
- Harem: the author explicitly labelled his work as harem, and I personally don't like this genre altogether... But in the case of this story, it is the coming and going of the characters that particularly irk me (I guess it is only natural to ignore a few characters for several chapters or a whole volume, and bring them back later only to ignore another character in doing so, if there so many of them); but then this is just another personal complaint, and honestly, it does not affect the enjoyability of story... too much
- Some cultural stuff: I disagree with some of the unconsciously implied views of the author; things like how the main character reacts/responds to certain events and how he treats people reflect the author's views indirectly, and these views (ideologies, if you will) are cultural (Chinese); now, I not only read Chinese, I actually am Chinese, but despite that I still get quite annoyed by this... or perhaps I'm just sensitive to it, idk

So, a deep and complex story that is great overall deserving a 9/10.
I am looking forward to the latter part of the story.

Not good

The uncle that runs a shop for 3 chapters is a more fitting name. This is just another OP MC with cheat skills, can't say much but after 20ch or so it's already quite boring.
The story has no clear purpose and the chars lack luster.
In other words, a rather mediocre manga thus far.
