A beautifully drawn, touching, and gripping story
by Caileo

Rating: 9.5  / 10.0
The art is beautiful, and the story is gripping and touching. However, there's a lot more drama than action. It's a unique experience that's great if you're tired of the usual thing.

Heavenly beauty

If you want to experience heavenly beauties you need to read this webcomic. The art is not anything you ever see before. The story meanwhile is quite standard for a cultivation story, just a bit more high class and refined. All the points are for the art and I'm happy washing my eyes with the art only.

Apparently, tiny cultivators have more maturity then your average human

I am really hooked on this story. The art is beautiful, every detail has be mesmerised. Even cannon fodder! No over the top everything found in your typical historical comic. Straight forward plot/characterization/cultivation setting.
It does well what it aims to do and it doesn't disappoint.

Great! (as of ch. 40)

The story so far is very well written and the main characters — even the supporting ones! — are quite interesting too. However, I'm fairly new to this genre (cultivation, etc), so it was a bit hard for me to follow some of the concepts of this new world. Nevertheless, this manhua was still very enjoyable to read.

Up to ch 40, the twins are still kids. But sometimes the boy straight up talks and acts like he's a 30 year old man or sumn lol. They're adorable though, and work really well together. I hope to see them grow even more stronger and fight alongside one another later.

The main thing that made me stick around, though, was the art. It's absolutely gorgeous. I'm usually a fast reader, but while reading this manhua I found myself stopping once in a while just to admire the art. The little background details, facial expressions, and all the different shades of colors make the world look more realistic and beautiful. Hats off to Xia Da.

The most beautiful manhua/manga drawn

The most beautiful manhua/manga drawn. I can't think of any that's more beautiful and I've seen hundreds.
A big reason is the use of colour, which normally in a manga looks bad like a children colouring book, but in this looks fitting.
This excellent art combined with natural colour elevates the visuals above all the rest.

Promising

I loved one of the author's early works, so I started to read this one hoping for good stuff. I've read the first 15 scanlated chapters and really liked it so far, the premise is not that original but the execution has some very strong points - the art being one of them.

My only complaint is the format itself. I was amazed by the author's ability to write so much on a single manga chapter, but this webtoon format kills this possibility. As all other webtoons the development of the story is so slow because of the few "squares". A manga has the best format, imho, I hope that her next works follow the manga format as before.
