Description
Koga Naoto is an omega who was raped by his alpha classmates and got pregnant. Due to that traumatic experience, he came to hate alphas and told himself that he doesn't need a lifemate or a bond, but even with that incident, he insisted on keeping the child and raised her, and an angel named Shizuku was born. She became his strength and center in this cruel word that treats omegas unfairly. But his life suddenly changed when he met an alpha named Tsuchiya Hazuki from the matchmaking party he forced himself to attend.

Other reviews have covered everything else pretty well so I will just add that my only dislikes are how hopeless omegas are set up to be in a modern Japanese society. I have always hated the idea that easily regulated side effects related to omegaverse are somehow unregulated in advanced worlds with suppressors and systems in place to level the playing field. Otherwise, the story of beating the odds and finding happiness (with the help of rich people) is a good read.

I really love story about family and I actually like all of the character except the rapist. They are strong people with high moral value and you know it's because of their experience and how they family teach them. Some of people here complain about how alpha attitude is this and that. Well, that's what make him so human, right? I also don't like when the Alpha is forceful about how he want to make a child even if he is still in university and they even not married yet but then I realize he is actually a really forceful person, he try to compromise but he is basically that type of person so as long as Naoto is okay with another child then I am okay. You know, if you sense inconsistency in character, more than think this is plothole, you should question why he act like that then you can see a character more deeper since human is full of inconsistency.

This manga also have this cliche aspect as soulmate and how they love each other because they are soulmate. That's a plot convenince for all of omegaverse but then the question is what will author do with this aspect? Some author choose to not make them together with their soulmate, some author choose to make them meet because of soulmate but then fall in love, but what this author choose to do? Omega loves the Alpha because of how he treat him but the Alpha loves omega because of soulmate which make him for the first time accept the fact that he is alpha. I think both of this is good for their character development. If you complain it's cliche then don't read romance because most of the time romance is cliche. What's interesting about romance is how character and relationship develop through all of the experince in story. And except it's fantasy, many people go through the same cliche way of life with some twist. You know when you complain to people about something then those people said, "I also experience the same things!" That's life, life is cliche lol. Is it wrong for a story about life to be cliche? I don't think so. If you read too many story, you will realize there are many similarities same with if you listen too many song, you will think you ever heard similar music somewhere.

it is a very cute short omegaverse story, almost all the characters are super adorablee, and for a first story by the artist, this is pretty nice, some dark issues and some funny moments; i loved everything about it, so much sweetness and love. Underated imo

for the haters, seriously take a chill pill, you need it, xoxo.

My favourite part of reading this manga may be that I stumbled upon the review written by WhiteIsBlack which takes the cake for being one of the most vitriolic and jabbering rants I've ever read on this site.

"Kiraide Isasete" is memorable, with some rather good bits contrasting against the bad. The quality of the art can be shaky at times. Facial expressions can be distorted and off: one made by the alpha MC was highlighted in such a way that I wondering if it was intentionally derpy. The other MC apparently found it hot though? Interesting taste...

Some of the other reviews mention that they found the romance contrived and mention of "soul mates" as being a lazy way to bypass the natural progression of a relationship, but that is sort of the whole point of the omegaverse genre. It is romance and lust that is completely, and immediately conspicuous. Based upon prior stories set within the omegaverse I was actually a bit confused as to how "soulmates" were represented in this one - usually there is a significant heat response for both parties upon first contact, but we don't get that here. Also, the story didn't seem to suggest that the omega can feel the biological drive towards the other MC? Obviously there is interpretation within the genre itself on how it's tropes are managed but there was no explanation in this regard.

In contrast to WhiteIsBlack whose primary "trigger" with this manga seems to be the fact the MC kept the child bore from their sexual assault, I personally liked that. It provided a window into the omega MCs personal morals and provided a genuine reason that they would be struggling. Being a single parent isn't easy and it's nice to see a story that pays homage to that, and also comes upon with a happy ending in the constraints of the genre.

I did have a personal gripe with the way in which the alpha comforted the omega about his trauma though... It effectively came down to a debasement of his own personage. Within this cruel and animalistic setting, where biological drive rules the roost, I think it would be natural to have some alienation with this environment if you were an empathetic person. But I don't tolerate cloying self-rebuke. I would have much preferred if Hazuki demonstrated he wasn't a complete piece of shit (as he does), and just left out the verbal signalling on the matter.

As with so many of these one volume stories (why do I keep reading!!) they could use more time! I want family life and more depth and context surrounding the MCs! In conclusion this is a good addition to the omegaverse genre, if a bit janky at times.

This is even worse than Oyasuminasai no Ato wa! It is the merge of that and Deep Love Reina shit! I can’t stand this manga, fucking plot, terrible characters, stupid angst and shitty ratings! I hate that dumb omega for keeping his illegitimate bastard who looks nothing like him except her father, one of his rapists! She is so ugly, pathetic, and disgusting! They suck and trigger me forever! I have to disagree with those liking and loving this shit! I’m highly against them! This deserves more negative ratings and reviews and should NEVER be recommended and made at all! What the fuck is the author doing making this hellish dark?! This is -100/10, absolutely the worst, and much worse than Cats movie!

Some of you may find this cliche but I totally love how the mangaka progressed the story.
I’ve read some about fated pair losing to their instincts and having sex before any romantic feelings, but this is totally different, as it’s a story about a serious alpha who did his best to control himself and protect his beloved. I mean, every single thing he does shows that he’s so in love. He is honestly one of the best alphas I’ve ever read about. I also like the kind omega who was a little insecure but managed to become more honest and confident.
Overall, it’s a super cute and sweet story, totally recommended.

This is the best Omegaverse series I have ever read. Also the first Yaoi series that handled Rape and PTSD realistically and correctly. It is amazing!

The familial aspect >>> the romance

Honestly I didn't care for the main couple and all the dramatics surrounding their relationship at all. It was just the same old same old omegaverse angst drenched with a double dose of cliches hammered down by a load of self pity boo hoo on the side; I swear it's got everything on the list to get on my nerves down to a T lol. Naoto and Shizuku's bonds, on the other hand, are much more meaningful and touching and the sole saving grace of this manga. Naoto can at least show a bit of a resemblance of his own will when he's with his child unlike how utterly bland and personality-less he becomes when he's with his mate. I'm also not a fan of the way some of the characters' facial expressions are drawn, but oh well I understand that good artists aren't so easy to find.

Overall, it's a good omegaverse story. I concur with the earlier comment; there are many things I find it unexplained/cliche with the whole thing about alpha going on about "soul mate" over and over again, and that omega suddenly goes into heat or spread his scent is.. annoying, to say the least. (I am ok with some cliche plot, don't get me wrong)

It's difficult for me to feel for the main characters. But the old man janitor (though in the manga, he keeps repeating he is an alpha with a bond. I get it already.) and cute kid make the whole story more wholesome.

The ending is good, though. A very adorable ending which I really like. It's a rather good debut manga series for the mangaka. Not one of my favorite omegaverse stories, sadly.

The premise is good but...

I do like the overall idea the author was trying to convey, like an alpha treasuring an omega and loving them for real not just for the sex and etc, but idk, some stuff just didn't sit well for me. I felt like the author tried so hard to make the plot serious but fell into the same annoying cliches omegaverses have. Like:
1. The alpha fell in love with the omega out of nowhere and the author just used the "we are soulmates" kind of excuse for that. Sounds pretty convenient and kind of an lazy writing to me
2. The author tried so hard to emphasize that omegas are capable of doing things on their on too and that they can be independent etc. But again, just like all these cringey tropes all over again, the seme always has to save the uke (in this case, even twice) from other semes and thus the uke starts falling for the seme because of it 😐
3. The alpha saying he didn't want to pressure the omega etc, but one chapter later he was already asking him to quickly bond with him and when the omega rejected, the alpha got all mad like lols what
This had a good premise but an overall pretty lazy and somewhat annoying execution. It felt really hard for me to actually feel anything for the main characters, I know mostly it's because this manga is short, but I read a lot of yaoi that was as short as this but I was able to love the characters so yeah.
Anyways, the art was nice at least and Shizuka was the cutest little cinnamon ever so that's what saved this story for me.
