Lots to say.

So there is much to say about this manhwa and truthfully, I don't where to start. I guess I'll organize this and divide on different areas.

First, the art. I have to admit the art is great- not the best and not AMAZING but it is great and one of the best art styles I have seen. One of the best thing about the art is that each character looks so unique and you can tell who they are immediately by just looking at them for a second. I see a lot of times that mangas (and many, many yaoi mangas) tend to make the characters look alike with the same hair color, eyes, face shape, etc... But not for this manhwa. The author was sure to give each character a unique look, especially with the eyes. Saeju's eyes were smaller and sharp while Moto's were big and sparkly, and Itan's eyes were sharp and emotionless. The hair styles varied in different time periods especially in flashbacks, which I loved. Details were always there and the fighting scenes were done greatly. The love scenes were also great and I loved all of Moto's different clothes. It fit into his personality. Itan's were great as well since they were simple, showing he was not much for fashion. Saeju's varied but that fit him as well. Anyways, for the art itself, I'd definitely give a 9 for its uniqueness and beauty.

Secondly, the characters. I got to say, I loved ALL the characters. Moto was great for his role but the best part of him is that seeing his personality, it was obvious why Itan would love someone like him and tolerate him, even for someone who doesn't love humans. Moto was portrayed as someone so happy and persistent yet you could see the pain he has in him, which the author showed greatly. I have to say though, Saeju's personality was probably the easiest to figure out, out of all the characters. Even if he was someone who was cruel, he was direct with his feelings and thoughts. In the beginning, he was being hesitant with how he felt with Moto, but towards the middle end, he was direct when showing he loved Moto and showed his jealousy easily, especially his jealous towards Itan. I hope to see more of Itan's character in the future, but the best part of his character I liked was how he seemed so tough and dangerous and basically a cruel bastard one second, but the next second he's showing this soft side, such as when he says he missed Moto greatly. Although he has his tough side, if you really read into him, you'll see that he loved Moto so much and that's why I don't hate him, as some other reviewers do. I actually like him and hope to learn more about his past. The thing is, obviously Moto will probably end up with Saeju (realistically, however you never know), which will make me feel bad for Itan. My prediction is that hopefully, Itan will end up with that lawyer who helped him get of jail. Although he's a great seme, I can see him needing affection and warmth from someone, such as the lawyer. Anyways, that might be just my guess and false hopes, but you know, I can dream. All in all, the character development is great and is going great as well. I really hope they continue with this manga because I can't wait to see how this goes. Although the negative part may be the way Moto seems so fickle minded between Itan or Saeju. It seems he loves Itan but seems he likes Saeju's warmth and affection, yet he has sex willingly with Itan. I'm not sure, however I hope he stops being confused. I tend to dislike fickle minded people since I feel they should know who they love and go through with it, but maybe there's a reason he's so fickle. I don't know. We'll see. And there seems to be some characters that are not being explained fully, such as Moto's twin brother, Jin. I really hope there is a chapter showing the past of this missing character soon. Anyways, for characters and character development, I'll give it a 8.5

Thirdly, the plot in general. Great plot. It contains many elements that I personally like- comedy (which is truly, truly funny), action, fighting, gangsters, and many others. I definitely think it has a great plot and the persistence from Moto to Saeju is very funny but fits into the plot well. I love how Saeju slides into being part of the whole situation with Itan and the gangsters and how he fit really well into it. I also love the way the plot doesn't fail to show other small things happening on the side, such as Saeju getting a job as a model or his past with his sister-in-law. I also love how it shows the flashbacks of Moto and Itan. Anyways, I really hope to see where this plot is leading and goes to. I'm expecting some crazy plot twists or something, but we'll see. The romance, action, and love triangle all fit well into each other. Even though it may seem confusing a lot, especially with the missing chapters, I hope it'll make more sense later and go down a good path. So all in all, I give the plot a definite 9.5

Anyways, I hope my review helped and yes, it has spoilers. My overall rating based on the average was a 9. By the way, I know there are some chapters missing. For example, the chapter where it started with Itan and Moto standing in the middle of the street with Moto crying after seeing each other for the first time after Itan got out of jail, there was a missing chapter showing of the story led to that. I've searched a lot and seen all websites where this manga is showing, but I can't seem to find the missing chapters. If anyone can tell me where they read it all, please let me know or send me the link. Thank you!

Not for me

This manhwa is like an overly-rich cake: decadent and enticing, yes, but eventually it gets to be too much and you sorta wish the manhwaga would tone it down a bit. From the art, to the plot, to the characters, everything gets done to the nth degree. To get a flavor for what I mean, just look at the currently posted cover for the series (volume 7): two guys dressed in all-white, draped in enough (white) jewelry to set off an airport metal detector, and surrounded by more (white) flowers than could fit inside a florist shop. It's awe-inspiring and captivating the first few times you see it, but when Moto has to show up on every volume and chapter cover draped in flowers and jewelry, you start to roll your eyes at his rings, earrings, and belly chains.

If only the over-done flavor stopped at the artwork, I wouldn't mind so much, but unfortunately it extends to the plot and characters as well, and that is where I draw the line. Except for the side characters, there are no regular people in this manhwa: Han Sae, for instance, is his school's best looking guy, best fighter, and resident genius. When his life takes a wrong turn in the first chapter and he decides to drop out and move out on his own, he easily lands a job as a model and proves to be successful at it, naturally. And of course there's Moto who is so gorgeous that he turns multiple straight men gay (Han Sae, Han Sae's coworker, Itan, some guys from Moto's past, etc., etc.). Some of these things tend to appear in all yaoi, but not ALL of them and not to THIS degree. And then there's the plot... Without giving too much away, let me just say that this is the type of story where everyone must suffer and suffer the worst possible amount. At the beginning of the manhwa, for example, Han Sae drops out of school because *gasp* the woman he loves has left him, *double-gasp* she's left him to get married, *triple-gasp* she's left him to get married to Han Sae's own older brother! And it isn't just Han Sae who has an extremely messy and angsty past, just wait until you start finding out about Moto and Itan, they make Han Sae's backstory look silly and uncomplicated in comparison.

So if you are the type of person who devours soap operas, you probably thought everything I was describing sounded great and will undoubtedly love this manhwa. But if you are like me and prefer characters you can somewhat relate to, this manhwa will, after 7 volumes, eventually leave you cold.

So I started to read this manhwa about a year ago. I must say that I'm horribly addicted and that it saddens me to find that every site I've found it on has missing chapters. Anyways, to the review.

First off, the art style is definitely something you'll have to get used to if you've never read a manhwa or if you just happen to like the really cartoony anime styles. Personally, I love the art style. It's horrible that most of the time, I let my evaluation of the art style decide weither or not I will contenue to read the manga. Anyways, once you get used to the art style, I'm sure you'll love it.
Also, the characters are engaging!! I would read the manga simply to see the characters interact with each other. Each one has a very distinct personality. I feel like you don't get this with many manga/manhwas. This coupled with the fact that you can tell from the beginning that the characters are very fleshed out.
The plot I would say is the most generic of anything you will find. How the characters easily find jobs, etc, is unrealistic. The one sided love story with a partner that doesn't know how to make up his mind and immediately get's swept up in his past. It's quite annoying.
In any case, I would suggest that mature readers read this. I feel that there are subtle undertones to the story that many immature readers would not grasp or rather notice and only read things on the surface level making the story and characters seem cheap. This is one of my favorite manhwas that I've ever read and I can't wait to read more. If only the mangaka would finish the story!! It's been three years!!! T__T

ABOUT MOTO (maybe spoiler?)

I love this manga so far! The drama the actions the characters and all feel really korean biggrin Definitely looking forward to see 'till the end!
About Moto, he ISN'T an ass. Yeah maybe he's the type that attracts guys, but he never did sleep around. For random guys, sometimes he uses his charisma to distract their attention in order to escape, but he obviously never wanted to flirt with them.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
For what about Itan, Moto did loved him, but he believed that it was an one-sided love since he was convinced that Itan loved his twin brother Jin. So NO he didn't involved in any sort of physical relationship with Itan! If we don't consider the rape and him maybe selling his body for his own survival, Moto may be a virgin and the only one he slept with is Sazz.
Moto is a guy with dignity and worth loving, so those who think of him an ass, sorry you're just wrong.
By the way the 7th tome is out in Korea. The 8th still in hiatus forever...

My previous review for The Summit was from 2010 and that was the second time I read it. That goes to show how difficult it is to to find all the scanlations and that you have to be a polyglot to be able to finish it. I happen to be one, so even though my native language is Portuguese, I managed to read it in Spanish and in English (which is my preferred language to read manga).

Having said that, I will have to warn you that if you want to follow this long journey, this manhwa WILL decrease as the chapters go by.
What first made me love it is that it's really similar to Totally Captivated. TC is my favorite yaoi of all time. The Summit also resembles You're My Loveprize in Viewfinder.
These previous two have the perfect formula (at least for my tastes): a really aggressive, pushy, sexy seme, who actually falls in love with the uke first and is really tender when it comes to him; an uke who can stand for himself, is strong, didn't think he was gay at first and has a short temper. They fight and the uke has trouble accepting his feelings, but he eventually can't escape how much the seme loves him.
Both titles also follow the same development of the characters' feelings: seme falls in love with uke, seme is going crazy trying to deal with his feelings, something REALLY bad happens to the uke
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
(in all cases, almost rape)
and the seme decides to confess. The uke doesn't accept him right away, but slowly falls in love with him, after struggling a lot with his own feelings.
The Summit follows ALL of those. The best part is how the characters' feelings are incredibly clear for the readers. For example, Han Sae's jealously towards EVERYTHING about Moto and how he can't control his desire or love. There are a few exceptions to how similar it is to the other two,
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
like the rape that actually does follow through, which in my opinion is a major mistake from the author, seeing as Moto was apparently a virgin, so everyone was expecting his first time to be with Sazz
, but it follows this pattern. Of course the two main characters are amazing. Moto has the kind of personality in an uke that just make me go insane: he is kind of timid, but not the type that can't get what he wants, and he also has internal conflicts and is not just a hole for the seme to use whenever he wants. Han Sae, on the other hand is so gentle towards Moto in his kind of violent way, that it's just adorable. He pushy but can be so sweet that gives us diabetes, which I, for one, love.

This was supposed to be amazing for me, but, as the story progresses, the author tries to shove some things down our throats that I just can't deal with. Itan is just...no. I didn't want him to appear, trust him or like him from the first page he appeared. I just knew he would be trouble. And as he becomes more and more a part of it all, I just hate Moto for being so dense and eventually hurting himself and Sazz so much. Hating a character isn't a problem. Not even his actions are a problem. If anything, it shows that the author is really good and can get a reaction out of us. The problem for me is how she tries to MAKE us like him. She keeps portraying him as fragile, depressive, sensitive. Someone that needs help. Well, I'm sorry, but what he needs it to be killed by Sazz. The author keeps showing us Moto's and Itan's past like we are supposed to care, but it doesn't work.

I don't even need to say that the art is astonishing. Han Sae is one of the sexiest characters ever invented, while Moto is just the cuttest uke ever.

Even with all the negative things I said, for me not only is it an absolute 10, it's one of the best mangas/manhwas I've ever read. I do read A LOT of yaoi, so when I find a gem like this, I definitely recognize it as such. The plot is too deep and angsty for me not to get chills, and I can't ignore that. Definitely, a MUST.

PS: I have to point out I still have three chapters to go, because they are in Korean and I can't find them in any other language anywhere.

Definitely a step above normal yaoi. It has an engaging plot, developed characters, angst, all in all a must. However, I had a lot of problems with this one too. For one, it drags on, quite a lot. The characters are interesting, and we are interested Han Sae's past right from the start. However, in 50+ chapters, still no mention (save once or twice) of the woman who left him. The author probably got hooked on developing Moto's relationships to the point that it revolves around Moto's past loves and Han Sae fighting over him, while Moto is incapable of doing anything except having wide nicely-drawn shots of him crying/naked/indecisive/remembering something. The main problem I found was that Moto could easily have been female and it would not make a difference (save for much much fewer viewers). However, the story is still extremely engaging (sometimes to the point of annoyance) and if you like this genre; it is certainly a must read, like it or hate it smile

You NEED to read this if you love yaoi with beautiful art, cute characters, and a really engaging story. It's both funny and serious, light-hearted and a bit angsty. I think it has something for most yaoi fans. I'm buying the series as it comes out in English (Which is taking forever! Drama Queen, you should be ashamed!), and I can't wait to have them all. It's just too good to pass up.

Everything that needs to be said has already been written, so i only have one more thing to add:
Please, someone finish translating this!!

I was so desperate I tried on my own, but the raw files I found weren't clear enough for me to be able to read the korean, and google translate kinda sucks for this type of thing.

And it's soo frustrating to just look at the art and make up my own lines, cause it toally doesn't fit of course bigrazz

Aaah some help please!!!

Few hours of entertainment

I usually try to stay away from these type of manhwa. But translated yaoi manhwa are pretty rare and I was in the mood for some entertainment after reading so much cutesy yaoi. Not to mention that's it's more than a few chapters long. It has everything you could expect from a Korean yaoi: Lot's of drama, angst, stupid and rash characters and impossible situations. Some might love it but I can't be bothered with it.

I love drama in my yaoi too, but this is the kind of addicting drama that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I read through all the updates in one night then felt relieved when they ended. Most of my hate stems from the whishy-whasy main character, Moto. He is the worst kind of love interest. He can't commit to anything and never thinks past a few minutes. He's not lovable at all and I felt so sorry for Sazz for falling for that type of guy. I won't give it a low rating because it doesn't pretend to be some deep manhwa, it is what it is- Pure Angst. I'll never re-read it, but I understand why people love it. If it's ever completed I'll finish what I started.
